Introductions

Welp, I believe some proper introductions are in order! Previously known as "Unknown Entity", you all may call me Dr. Octayve. My specialties include psychology in dimensional travel and audio based weaponry. In the past I worked on projects relating to celestial environmental toxicology, and dimensional virology so I may be of some assistance in those regards. I may dabble from time to time as I like to keep my options open. You will find me in my office from sometime to another at the Evil Science Centre Lab 500. If you have any further questions within reason, feel free to let me know and we'll chat ^v^

My Lab Notes will be included in the link here for anyone interested in my work or general ongoings in the ESC. If you do stop by, be sure to say hullo to the other residents of my lab. And this is what I look like, if you ever need to find me in a pinch.

Typically, I would say the back entrance. Especially if we are expecting aggression.

I Would like to see if there is a way to get to the top floor without gaining too much attention. May help to have a person on the inside

...mostly for security, love.

If there is a security breech, either in containment or in protocol, the people who put them in place either send reinforcements..or capture evidence for more efficient containment or security protocols

[Once the Team gets in, they can see several security guards on the ground floor. They all have automatic rifles in their hands. They haven't spotted the Team yet.]

*they count how many guards are in the room and quickly glance around for any signs of cameras. If there are any, also for any blind spots*

*if there are any, they signal for Ryn to go toward it and do their thing.. if not, well, they have their portal gun to quietly deal with the guards. Not an anomoly, just an invention*

[There are three guards, one which Ryn knocks out and I'll get back on that when I am done describing the threats. There are two security cameras, which move side to side. Dr. Octayve and Pigeon have about 30 seconds before both cams spot them. There are steps going up and a set going down.]

[The guard which is Naptimed stumbles a bit before passing out and collapsing backwards, towards Ryn. Immediately, the two other guards simultaneously load their rifles and turn around to face the Agents.]

GUARDS: "HANDS WHERE WE CAN SEE THEM!"

[One of guards motions to Dr. Octayve.]

GUARD: "DROP THAT, RIGHT NOW! PUT IT ON THE GROUND!

[She has a sound of authority in her voice as she flashes her old [expired] foundation card. Not long enough for them to see it is expired]

I am Dr. Jessica. Now. Guns down.

[She doesn't waver in the fib. Her eyes narrowed.]

[Ryn scurries to hide behind Pigeon and clings tightly to her back. They hold their dice tightly in case they have to roll again]

...well, this is already going well ^v^'

*they don't trust that Pigeon will be able to keep up the charade, and already see's they've lost the element of surprise. At least Pigeon's i.d. trick miight have Distracted these two guards just enough for them to shoot the portal gun at the floor under the remaining two guards. They attempt to do so, quickly opening a portal leading them to a... barnyard??*

[But that doesn't matter because they drop through the portals Dr. Octayve just created. Six more guards run in. Three surround Pigeon and Ryn, the other three surround Dr. Octayve. They have their guns raised. One of the guards speak.]

GUARD: "We apologize, Dr. Jessica. We're afraid we can't lower our weapons unless you lower your own."

[The three by Dr. Octayve move in closer. Unless you do something, the guards will knock out Dr. Octayve.]

[She looks at them]

Drop your gun for fucks sake.

[She puts a hand ontop of it and pushes it down to point at the floor.]

I need you to trust me on this

[Ryn looked ready to throw more sand at the guards but stopped themselves before they did anything impulsive. Mom seems to know what she's doing]

*they glance around, then at Pigeon.....dammit*

...fine, fine. *they let their gun drop*

*they look to the guards surrounding them, they give what could be described as a pleasant smile, friendly*

Apologies for the inconvenience.. Simply don't appreciate guns pointed at the boss

GUARD: "And we don't appreciate that the intern made one of us fall asleep. How was that done, anyways?"

[She sounds like an annoyed supervisor. It is a little disturbing how quickly she slips into the role of a supervisor or boss]

*glances around and shrugs, letting "Dr. Jessica" deal with the talking for now*

[Ryn has now hidden the sand in their pocket. They've let go of Pigeon and is just standing behind her]

[She walks around her eyes scanning everything looking for details]

*looking at ease, noting their surroundings as Pigeon walks around, just keeping everything in mind*

Mmhm. Can be quite useful for you all, I'm sure

*they wondered if Pigeon could potentially have clearance to the second floor lile this.. or sneak through to to the basement..though, that may be a stretch. Probably just best to tactfully route to the second floor and to "Cass"*

[Ryn is opting to stay silent. Let the responsible adults do the talking. They're still hiding behind Pigeon's back]

GUARD: "What exactly is the nature of this visit?"

*is looking to Pigeon, wondering what her plan is as they slowly hang back, subtly glancing toward the stairs to see if it was guarded*

Routine check-in nothing at all don't worry. 05 council has decided to push a more "open" initiative

*had Pigeon answered any of their questions about this "Cass", they might know who to be looking for, and they don't have access to the basement...so right now, this mission and the safety of their teammates depends on them trusting her...*

*they do start to go towards the upper stairs*

GUARD: "No, 'Dr. Jessica'. We have reason to believe you don't have clearance."

[The other guards close in on Pigeon and Ryn.]

[The second floor is buzzing with researchers in lab coats. There are a few labs, but what's more noticeable are the countless containment units. Dr. Octayve can see other researchers sedated inside the containment units from the CCTV footage on the computers.]

[Ryn panics at the guards closing in and throws a handful of sand in their general direction in hopes something happens]

*eyes widened for the briefest of moments at who was being contained, they made sure to straighten out their lab coat, pocketing their gun to fit in..look as though they belonged there. Not too hard, they work in research afterall. They have the barely slept look of a scientist who's been wracking their brain on their project down pat...that part was probably not an act, but it was likely to help them blend in greatly here*

*Octayve slinked through with the crowd, subtly picking up a stray clip board when someone's back was turned before slipping away to look around the area. They assumed the containment units were in the basement, so perhaps they could find out some information up here*

*They glanced one of the computers, trying to see if any of the cells on the cctv's were labelled, subtly looking out for any potentially familiar name tags on the scientists or key cards they may be able to sneakily liberate from someone*

[One of the guards fall backwards as they fall asleep. Another guard catches them. The remaining four turn their attention to Ryn until...]

[Sand surrounds one of the guards. His flesh slowly becomes paper as he becomes a life-sized origami. One of the three remaining guards swings the grip of their rifle towards Pigeon's head in an attempt to knock her out.]

[As Dr. Octayve picks up the clipboard, they can see a post-it note reading: "3 _ _". None of the contained researchers are the Agency's, as all of them have the Foundation logo on the patches of the lab coats.]

[ 9 CHAOS HAS BEEN USED. ] [ THERE IS NOW A TOTAL OF 70 CHAOS. ]

[A researcher near Dr. Octayve takes a syringe and heads for the stairs.]

[Pigeon uses the corrosive sand to dig int one of the guards and at least stall them while she points at another]

[PIGEON HAS USED: ARCHIVAL]

Hm *they hum at the number.. perhaps a passcode? Though, not a full one, it seems. Perhaps they could find others if-*

*they notice the syringe wielding researcher's path.. always needles, dammit. They began subtly following them, seemingly non-chalant as they try to see if there are any blindspots around the stairwell the researcher could be cornered in*

[The researcher stops and turns to face Dr. Octayve. They tilt their head.]

RESEARCHER: "You're not one of us, but we'll gladly make you so."

[They lunge towards Dr. Octayve with the syringe, and stab them in the waist.]

[The two remaining guards chase after Pigeon and Ryn.]

*well, this was certainly taking an unexpected turn. Their facade showed a bit of real confusion*

Well, however did you ge- *their eyes widened in genuine alarm at the lunge and subsequent injection, trying now to get the researcher off their person, the needle away*

*they just Had to forego the bulletproof vest, didn't they?? Had they not learned their lesson enough times, they think as they try to stab them*

*A small nice looking wooden box is sat righr infront of their door, a burnt orange <color> ribbon tied around it*

*they tilt their head, having nearly stepped on the small box, crouching down to pick it up*

*they admired the box a moment, trying to find a name before curiosity got the better of them and they opened the box, carefully removing the ribbon*

*they clearly don't have a clue as to who this could be at the moment and.. well, this is a bit of a sentitive subject for them, they don't want to attract the time agents' attention...they carefully pick up the business card, trying to see if there was an actual name or job title to be found..how did this person know about them?*

*the symbols werent too random....maybe they meant something? Could be wingdings*

*their head tilted further. That answered a couple questions. They thought further, before taking out their phone to call James*

*they picked up quickly, smiling on their end*

" Reyes residence, this is them "

*they, on the other hand, sound quite nervous*

" indeeeed....whats wrong? "

*they could tell something was off*

Weell.. I recieved a letter from a name that may be familiar to you about..*they paused*

well, I believe it was your friend Rusty? Do you recall his last name being "Hannegan"?

" yeah....he sent a letter? "

*they sounded confused*

" mind if I know what was in it? "

*they were quiet for a while, seemingly trying to form words*

..the..t-time agents.. he thinks th-there's a case, against them...said he, reviewed my information..dandelion tea

" okay, just breathe. I'll have a talk with him. Do you need me to come over? "

What if they come back? What if they know, they heard it a'and I can't get out and-

*the sound of panicked pacing* I can't do that again, I can't, I can't I- *this seems to go on a while.. it doesn't sound like they heard a word James said*

*there was a whooshing sound, and some calm squeaking. They were on their way over as fast as their wings could go*

*the repeating continued for a moment, picking up the pace along with the pace of their breathing, getting stuttery. Suddenly there was a sound of clattering as the phone fell to the floor, followed by something heavier*

*they arrived shortly after, getting into the lab as they quickly made their way over to them*

*they were on the ground in the kitchen area huddled into a corner, feverishly ripping though their sleeves to try and remove imaginary i.v. lines as they muttered frantically*

get them out, get them out, make them Stop *they pleaded to.. someone? they weren't exactly the most present at the moment, scratching at already scarred skin*

*that does seem to at least get their attention, there was someone talking to them. They were trying to look at them but kept getting diatracted*

No, no no I f-feel them. They.. why... *they were trying to get them to understand, they were Right There! Couldn't they see them?*

*they looked at their arms and pretended to see them, nodding*

Alright...do you want me to take these ones out for you?

*they looked like they might actually cry at the question. they weren't sure if it was a trick or not but there was hope there beyond the desperation. They nod*

*they carefully placed their fingers where the needle would be inside, and then placed another hand to grab the needle*

Are you ready?

*they squeezed their eyes shut, nodding a very frantic affirmative as they tried to stay somewhat still, still shaking like a leaf*

*they quickly and gently removed the needle, doing the same for the other one(

*they kept their eyes shut a moment after they'd finished, trying to breath somewhat evenly before peeking an eye open to see*

..they're gone, they're out? *they said, relief evident in their voice as it shook. they opened and closed their hands*

*they reached over and held onto one of their arms*

No, I am used to it. And this helps *they didn't want them to get up while they were sore. They reasoned if their sibling admitted that they were "sore" then it was probably quite painful..they opened one of their eyes to look at them*

She wasnt wearing the same well tailored suit as before, something more causal than before, she smiled at them

" didn't think id see ya so soon "

*they went up and gently took her hands, not wanting to just spring a hug on her if she wasn't ready for one*

*they looked so genuinely happy to see her* Cipher and I accidentally took another nap. You look nice

*she chuckled, there was a couple of large skeleton keys in her hand, each one a different color. Orange, pink, and a peachy color*

*they shook their head, giving a small laugh*

Funny. It is very good to see you, though *they looked to the keys, the bold colors catching their eyes*

Oh my. May I ask about the keys?

" ......well. would you be up for a little visit? "

Delivering the two, and then one for them.

*they tilted their head a bit, but a curious smile spread across their face*

I believe so, not entirely sure how like this though. Where to?

*currently, the dream was an oddly tranquil forrest*

" well, since they're close by, we can drop one off to your sibling "

There was a little road some ways down, with a car parked at the edge. For now, the two could walk together

*their eyes widened a little in wonder, following the path through with her*

We could do that? *it was a nice and sunny day. Certainly a bit warm, but still comfortable*

" if you're up to it. Otherwise I can drop it off quick myself "

She hummed, enjoying the nice weather.

Oh no I am. I just, did not think that was an option

*they smiled, happy to be spending time with her. They are curious about the keys though* Does this mean you and Cipher will finally get to meet?

" I suppose it does "

She continued down the path with them, heading towards the car.

" ......Di and Jay think they're pretty great. Raj too "

She glanced at them

" they're waiting for Tim but they know he won't be here for quite sometime "

*they smiled softly*

I can imagine so..From what Tim's told me, they all sound like they'd get along incredibly well *they were quite relieved to hear the last part, but also a bit guilty*

..He has family waiting for him on the other side.. his family on this side will take care of him. More than happy for every moment they have with him

she nudged them with a smile.

*they smiled back, chuckling with the nudge*

That he is. Mum, how could he know but not believe that?

She had a point there.

*they looked at her, processing her words a moment before putting their head on her shoulder. It's a bit awkward as they walked, but that's what they did. That was a lot of positive affirmations to process at one time, they can rarely fully process a single complement*

...if i am all those things, then so are you, mum...one-hundred fold
