Once upon a time
Born in a Romani camp outside of Haasenstadt, Victor lost his mother at a young age under mystical unknown conditions. His dad remarried a noblewoman but despite caring for her, she died, forcing him to flee with the child. In the cold winter, he did not survive, leaving Victor an orphan. Despite everything, Victor managed well, he was clever, and had a wish to understand what had happened to his mother, so he picked up interest in magic and science. Years later, Victor was offered a scholarship at the State University in Hegeman, where he met Reed Richards and Ben Grimm.
Victor became obsessed with the theory of souls, how they worked, how they behaved. He found out that his mother had been held captive by Mephisto and so he built a machine to try to free her. There had at this point always been a rivalry between him and Doom, so when the man pointed out some flaws in his maths, Doom dismissed him. This miscalculation ended with the machine exploding, scarring him for life. He resented Reed for that, and was shortly after expelled for the university. Disgraced and bitter, Victor traveled the world, and came upon a small Tibetan village of monks who assisted him in creating a suit of armor. He then went to Latveria and overthrew the leader to declare himself king. Using the country’s resources for his own projects of knowledge, he became a recurring problem for the Fantastic Four. He managed to snatch the Silver Surfer’s board , but was banned from US soil shortly after the Chitauri attacks for trying to smuggle out alien material out of the country, and causing some …”problems”.
Key to success
Doom opened Latveria to be a safe heaven for the victims of the war during the Skrulls invasion and afterwards. However, as the world was starting to build itself again, Doom made a drastic choice. Going against his advisers, he started a conflict with Wakanda about some ressources. It led to an foreseeable outcome which lead Doom to step down as king of Latveria to avoid an international crisis and a civil war in Latveria. General Karadick has been appointed as head of State. Doom’s whereabouts are tricky to track but he has a visa to remain in the US.
Updates
Doom finally offered himself a new face, healed from the scars, unknown from many people.
He keeps for the moment a low profile, but he’s deeply interested by Osborn’s next actions.
