“Thanks for all the fish”: I officially say goodbye
Hey, remember me? Well, if you do, I’m sorry I haven’t been around. It’s not fair to you. Well, since I’m saying goodbye, I figure I should also say hello and give you the history of this blog. My name is Erinn.

I use to run this blog and all it’s sister blogs (like the jefferson one and pretty much every other character that would constantly talk to Whale on here. I feel weird admitting this “well kept” secret. now you know I’ve just been talking to myself all this time). I started this all because I was a massive fan of OUAT and Frankenstein, and thought it would be fun showcasing the life of Whale behind the scenes. When Whale became a bit successful that's when I created the others. Funny enough, Jefferson was one of the last characters I created and became a fan favourite. It was fun having Whale and Jeff argue all the time and throwing other characters in the mix. The support I received from you guys was incredible. To be honest, I never imagined this becoming a popular thing. It was also cool seeing all the support on Twitter too during the live tweets. I need to thank them as well as you guys. It came to the point where I wasn’t even pretending to be Whale, I was just being myself. Never once did I actually consider this RPGing because it felt so natural. The Whale you saw on this blog wasn’t a character but instead was actually me. It was just so wonderful sharing my sense of humour and it being accepted by you guys. However, I did have my downfall.
I never talked about it here because it would ruin the mood of the blog. About 3 months in to this, I met a role player on Twitter. They seemed very nice until we started to actually role play. Let me just say that I’ve never actually role played before so I was a little out of my element to begin with. The role playing was fine until the person constantly messaging me to play with them. Since I work and, also at the time this was happening, preparing a portfolio for school, I didn’t have much time to RP with this person, however, they never seemed to understand this. The person also didn’t seem to understand that I was a parody account; not a real RP account. The identity I built for Whale began to be torn apart when this person forced me to follow their illogical and long winded stories. I soon became tired of Whale and even the show. I kept this up for about a month and don’t ask why I blocked I didn’t block the person. I guess I’m just too nice. I was still interested in the Whale blog during this period but the biggest blow came shortly after these RP sessions. This person (we’ll call C) began harassing other role players on Twitter and would drag me into their problems. I had to try to put out some fires which I was dragged kicking and screaming through. The worse came when I was told by C that a Gold role player blocked them because C was harassing both Gold and other RPers. I tried not to get involved but C kept tweeting Gold and kept mentioning me in the tweets. C was so upset by this that he actually wanted to commit suicide. This is when I was reached by his “sister” (I’ll explain later why I used quotations) telling me that C was cutting himself and was trying to kill himself. This was the worse night of my life. I stayed up for hours trying to convince C not to hurt himself and telling his “sister” to help him. I was in tears the entire time and honestly prayed my hardest to God. He luckily didn’t kill himself that night.
A few days later I got a message from C again but this time saying his “sister” wasn’t breathing and he didn’t know what to do. This was odd to me since only a few moments earlier his “sister” messaged me. He didn’t know what to do and I tried to give him every piece of advance I could. He said that he would take her to the hospital by horse. That whole day I was extremely nervous because I didn’t want this girl to die. However, I than realized something was just really off with these two. During C’s whole breakdown, his “sister” was telling me how her brother thought Storybrooke was a real place and everything was real and this is why he was depressed. I didn’t question it too much. Maybe he mad some mental issues. It wasn’t until the sister thing that I started to call bullshit. The last message I got from her was saying something along the lines of “ *falls to the ground* “ and a minute later C messages me telling me what happened. I remember asking him “C, is this really happening?” and of course he told me it was. But there were lots of other situations where it felt like his sister wasn’t real. He would tell me his sister looked exactly like Elsa and the only photos he would show me of his sister were in fact Elsa. It was a weird situation and honestly the stress of it all killed this whole thing for me. They eventually “moved” but got in contact with me a few months later. I never replied to anything. After this situation I lost all joy in Whale.
I tried to make a come back by joining an RP group I was invited too. Honestly, those guys were great but I just couldn’t do it. No one was forcing me to do anything there but I felt like I couldn’t really offer anything to the character in the group and plus my work was taking up all my time. I eventually quit that too. I tried my best to do stuff here and I tried making a website but I felt like I was trying too hard to take off the Whale mask I wore and reveal my own face. I had lost touch with the characters and the show too.
I feel like my recent attempts to reboot these blogs were, again, me trying to reveal myself as me and not Whale. Those videos I was trying to make had nothing to do with Whale or OUAT. It was just me trying to make videos...that failed really bad to be honest.
For awhile I was contemplating whether to do this or not. I thought that on one hand I have been gone for far too long but on the other you guys were loyal and deserved a reason/goodbye. I’ve been considering making a new tumblr to help keep in contact with the world while I go off and become a radio broadcaster (yay!). Also, as of today, I found out I’ll be an aunt, so that will take up a lot of time too. I will admit, I’ve also been wanting to have a new tumblr in order to follow and connect with Steam Powered Giraffe but thats just me fan girling.
Well, it’s 11:24 pm here and I gotta go to sleep now. I really want to thank you all again for being so amazing and loyal. I will never forget you guys!
