“Yet, you are not showing any intent on wanting to let go, despite that. And I am certain you’re aware this is more a request than an order.” Fingers idly tap on the piece of metal holding up Siegfried’s cloak, nails almost picking at it ( like they wanted it gone ). “So you’re either being overly modest once again, or you’re intending to make a fool out of me~?” It was more of a joke to lighten the mood - but if it were to actually do that..
Even so, the free hand that had been tapping at the cloak’s clasp, was now placed upon Siegfried’s hip - pulling him just a bit closer. Honestly, it was almost like the servant was afraid at this point. Afraid of being close and messing up in his master’s presence. What Jedah said next, was but a whispers close to Siegfried’s ear - words meant for him, only him.
“Do not be afraid to mess up. If you do, however, I’m afraid I will be unable to gift you that reward I have been planning on giving you later this evening.”
Well, that was true. Even without feeling skin against skin, Siegfried couldn’t help but flush at the idea of being so close to Jedah. Dancing with other nobles was nothing special- after all, it was rather routine. If there was dancing to be had, and royals to do it, it would undoubtably occur, with relative ease. Yet, he felt less like he was humoring his master and more like he was being offered it, with the same respect as he’d have for someone of higher rank.
“O-of course not!” No, Siegfried would never even dream of such a thing. Embarrassment quickly coloring his face, he shakes his head fervently. If Jedah was trying to humiliate him, he was clearly succeeding. His hands trembled without his permission, and he tipped his head downwards to avoid having to make eye contact.
“Master, please, this feels unnecessary...” He wouldn’t dare ask what that reward was, seeing as it would definitely make him sound eager (and that he was.)
