“Now now, this is no good~! These creatures are quite stubborn, are they not?”
The dragon was circling in the sky, happily chatting with her familiar. Eye guy was tiny compared to her, but they somehow seemed to be keeping up- darting along as Sallajeth landed on the ground yet again. She’d ended up beside another person, looking at the hoard of monsters approaching still.
“On your side, dear~ Let’s focus on those ugly mugs, why don’t we?”
The dragon’s voice was filled with joy, a love of battle ringing in her voice. She felt in her element for certain, the adventurer not worried at all in the face of endless demonic armies.
He pushed his blade forward with a heave, piercing the chest of a reaper unceremoniously before swinging his shoulders to face the next. At this rate, he was going to burn out before the hoard lessened, but that didn’t deter him. If he was going to go, why not go out in the flames of battle.
Besides, he didn’t fear death. Died before, he’ll die again- die, die, die-
“What are you-”
A wail left his soul, not even his mouth- it left his entire being, having been flung into the air against his will. He slid against her scales, gripping onto something to hold him steady as to not being fodder in front of the reapers. This… now this was the way to go!
“…Well that just happened. Let’s do this, dragon.”
“Sallajeth Mahoy’s the name, love.” She grinned, letting out a powerful shout of joy as she breathed out a blast of blinding radiant light. The monsters seemed to evaporate in the glow, which had a opalescent light reminiscent of the dragon herself.
Of course, that was assuming you’d even be able to look at her long enough to see said opalescence without being blinded, which was rather unlikely... but details? Who needed ‘em?
“Now, let us fly! There’s plenty more problems to deal with, wouldn’t you agree? Wouldn’t be much like the heroes to fall now~”
“You look like you could use a little aid, dear~!” The dragon’s voice rang loudly as she looked at the man- he was having a little trouble with a few monsters, wasn’t he? Well, that was of no matter. Sallajeth was more than happy to help out, especially given her mood!
Eye guy was first to fly forth, fear and paralyzing beams shooting from their pupil towards the monsters. Some worked, sending a few of them running- the rest seemed a little more determined, though.
“Worry not~ I can have your back- or rather, you’ll have mine.” The dragon landed behind the man, using her nose to lift him and casually toss him onto her back.

Sallajeth noticed immediately when her powers uncapped, as if a weight had been lifted from the dragonborn’s shoulders. She could see the monsters approaching, but she felt no fear in her heart- she knew her power, and beyond that, this sort of thing? Oh, it was fun!
“Send my regards to Baphomet, dears! I’ll be sure to make your trip back to hell an enjoyable one~”
Jumping into the fray, the druid swung her battleaxe with no small amount of enthusiasm. Heart Cleaver was having fun as well, the demon axe screeching with joy into Sallajeth’s mind about the bloodshed and violence and gore sure to follow.
“Let us destroy it all! Fall to darkness, fool!”
“Yes dear, that’s nice.”
“Damnit, you’re a pain!”
“You’re amusing as always, Heartie~”
“DON’T CALL ME THAT, I AM HEART CLEAVER, AXE OF THE DEMON LORD BAPHOMET, AND-“
“I have monsters to fight, Heartie. Will you help or not?”
The axe gave a resigned sigh inside of Sallajeth’s mind, as she continued to fight. Her familiar flew at her side, paralyzing enemies who got too close. The druid took the chances they opened for her, continuing her spree.
“Oh, its been ages~!! Isn’t this magnificent?”
“It would be more magnificent if you’d just fall to the d-“
“What about you, Eye Guy? Isn’t it lovely?”
She could feel a sense of joy from her familiar- the winged occulus was happy when they could join Sallajeth in battle.
“Agreed! I bet the others would be terribly jealous of us now, wouldn’t they~?”
Together, the three of them made a rather odd crew. A dragonborn, a winged eyeball, and a demonic axe who spoke into his master’s mind- and yet, nobody could deny Sallajeth’s effectiveness. An offhand spell summoned a host of giant spiders to aid in her battle, another calling forth tidal waves and raging torrents. Nature bent to her will, and there was nothing that made her happier than simply getting to fight to the fullest.
“Oh, but what am I doing? I’m such a fool!”
Staring down waves of monsters, Sallajeth’s voice just rang out in a clear laugh. With a burst of light, her form would change- her body transformed and light radiated off of scales, large wings spreading as she roared, a noise that echoed over the plains.
“Now, come to me~!”
Transformed to her shining dragon form for the first time in ages, Sallajeth let out yet another laugh. Joy bubbled out from her heart, the large dragon glowing bright in the early morning. Her voice echoed loudly, carrying far and wide.
She was a flurry of scales and teeth, claws slashing at the monsters who continued to spawn forth. There was no end in sight, but that wasn’t unusual- she was an adventurer, after all! And seemingly unwinnable battles were something of a specialty for the druid… so of course, it was no worry. It was just another day in the business, really.
“You shall not stop us! You shall not defeat us! For we are freedom, and that shall never be destroyed, for as long as I stand!”
