Kris Li is a dragonblood that has lived almost a couple of centuries before coming to New Haven. He had only lived there for a couple of years before the dome began to crack. Since then, he's worked hard to be a police officer, hoping to help the town that has welcomed him with open arms.

How had they gotten here? Simple. Kris was a regular; almost everyone in town was anyway because everyone needed their coffee to function, with the exception of a few. Kris had invited him to his home one day. Just to chill, he had said, and just to chill was the least he had expected to be fair but he had accepted anyway and he was given the address.

The first time he saw Kris walk into the coffee shop he felt butterflies in his stomach and a blush rising to his cheeks, it had been during his first day at work too and he had nearly broken some cups watching the cop walk in. After that, it was a regular occurrence to see Kris at the shop every morning before work. Kris had been here for years before Eryx had arrived his messy self.

It was easy to memorize his name and his usual order, Eryx was a friendly face and he usually liked to strike up a conversation with his clients and they hit it off quickly ending with Eryx in his current situation: Kris's house and hot tub.

He smiled at Kris and began to undress down to his black underwear. He hadn't brought anything else to wear for a hot tube as he hadn't expected it. "Water's always great," he said to his host as he approached the tub and got in easily; the water was warm, and the jets were heaven on his tired body. He sighed in relief as he got comfortable in the tub.

Deciding to be bold, he moved closer to Kris. "You're not exactly what I picture when I imagine a cop. I guess because you are a dragon, it makes sense, but... what made you choose to be a cop?" He asked with a smile on his lips.

Kris had been in New Haven for a good odd number of years. Still had trouble matching faces to names, but that's to be expected when living in any busy town like New Haven. The Dragonblood had no trouble remembering the merman, especially when he looked just like a sweet and tasty treat in the barista uniform. Apparently it didn't matter what kind of uniform a man was wearing, Kris had a great appreciation of the male form wearing it. It helped that Eryx seemed to have a body that filled it out well. Kris watched the man strip in front of him, impressed even further at the body hidden behind the uniform.

Hearing Eryx talk, he couldn't help but chuckle. Kris never thought of himself as cop material. Never really played well with others and felt like he never owed anybody anything. That all changed during the night the dome cracked. That night he saw many people, people he saw everyday, loose everything they worked their lives for. Kris might not have remembered their names, but he remembers their faces, remembers their impact in his life in town. Since then, he's decided to help the town by being an officer. Eryx moving closer to him snaps the dragonblood out of spiraling. Kris smiles politely as he listens.

"What were you picturing when you imagine a cop? More clothes I'm guessing?" Kris couldn't help hide his excited tone at the question. "If it helps, I still have the handcuffs around here somewhere."

"Actually, I might have lent them to Fidel, something about a handcuff kink monopoly. Whatever that means." Kris chuckles as he relaxes in the hot tub. "I actually haven't been a cop for that long."

"So there's still time for me to get that grumpy, hard ass look, you know?" Kris smiles, turning to Eryx. He finds himself moving closer to the merman as well. "I joined because of the dome cracking. A lot of people here I need to protect, I guess being a cop let's me do that. You?"

Kris had been pounding the pavement all afternoon, working a case of utmost importance down at the station. The dragonblood knew every able bodied officer would be on this case, so Kris had to be sharp and persistent on solving the case. Officer Li was only given a photo and a set number of hours before the case would be deemed too far gone for any officer in New Haven to solve. He had shown everybody the picture, the waxy wallet sized photo growing a dent matching Kris' thumb each time the officer passed the photo to New Haven residents and travelers alike. Hours upon hours of the dragonblood searching people's expressions for a hint of familiarity in their gaze, but not an ounce of it would seem to appear for the officer to recognize.

The photo is gingerly passed back into Kris' hands before the officer spots a new set of eyes he hasn't asked yet. He politely, but hurriedly, thanks the couple of people he had just asked before speedily making his way towards this person who could possibly help him with the case. "Hey, excuse me!"

"I need to ask you something important!" Kris waves them down with photo in hand. He presents a picture of a cat in an oversized hat on top of it's head. "We've heard reports of him fleeing the station around 6:50 in the morning and walking around the southwest part of town. Any information you have on the guy would be extreme valuable. So please look at the photo and try to think if you've seen him around before."

Kris had lean himself down against the frame of the hot tub, looking up at the night sky as he relaxes in the bubbling water. He hums as he angled his body, letting the jet stream hit a sore spot that needed attention. His body was a bit dainty for a cop, Kris will admit, but it manages to wear his profession well. Sure, at times Kris would bruise like a peach, but it often accentuated his body's natural features.
