ℑn the year 114 AC the princess gave birth to a son in her husband's ancestral home of Blackcrown. Large, wailing and born not quite nine moons after his parents’ marriage the young prince, Doran, was said to be in good health from first breath, an oddity for a child born so early as they claimed. He bore the silver-gold hair of his mother from birth, a feature which garnered whispers of who truly had fathered him. Her husband, Ser Andrei of house Bulwer, heir to Blackcrown had the more "common" features associated with the Reach. Dark hair, green eyes, a large frame which towered over other men-- the opposite of the delicate Val.yrian features for which her family was known. Some speculated that it had actually been the rouge prince who fathered the young princeling, that perhaps the child who was now second in line to the throne was not true born at all. The princess was quick to squash the rumors of course, noting that the child otherwise took after his father in both size and look.
Despite the rumors which surrounded his birth the royal couple was overjoyed with the birth of the little prince and spent the duration of her recovery in Blackcrown as the guests of the prince consort's parents. From there they would return to Ki.ngs Lan.ding before beginning their first royal progress together, young son in tow. Like his mother before him, he was said to capture the hearts of those who came upon him, just as she had as a child on progress. The people of the Ri.verlands were smitten with the child and many remarked on what a charming babe he was, pleasant and content in the arms of his mother, his laughter could be heard more often than his cries. None dared breathe a word of the rumors in either of the couple's presence, and many doubted the validity of them for not since Vise.rys had they ever seen a father so love their child as the future king consort.
