My very lukewarm take regarding Chi Cheng and Guo Chengyu:

They want to sleep with each other but won't admit it, so they chase connected people (twins, friends, etc.) so they can proxy sleep with each other.

Not that they don't like Suowei and doctor man independently, but it's an added bonus.
