Feeling herself being pulled closer towards him, her smile only grew as she reached upwards, having to stand slightly on her tip toes to place a kiss upon his lips “I have missed you.”

“It’s only been a day, little wife.” Eirik teased, letting go of her dress to place his hand to the small of her back. He pulled her against him, wrapping his other arm around her. “But I have missed you, as well.” He smiled and leaned down to kiss her again. “Are you sure you are well with everything that has happened?” He asked, kissing her cheek.

Eyebrows raised slightly without a word as she simply looked back down staring upon her own cup that he had brought her, the mead calling to her. Glancing back towards him, her gaze softened. Was Gyda ever able to truly stay mad at someone? “Then why did you do it? If you do not wish to be married to me because you have feelings for another, I wish you would just tell me.” She stated softly, wanting to avoid anymore heartbreak. “I thought..I thought you cared about me..” that last part came out in a soft whisper.

“I do not have feelings for her.” Eirik sighed, leaning his head back a little. For a moment he relaxed into the absurdity, before he realized how it made perfect since for that to be Gyda’s excuse for him. Of course, he had to have some deep love for the other girl. He closed his eyes, squeezing them tight before looking over to her. “It was only...I...” He took a deep breath, “I got upset...and they were teasing me so...” He crossed his arm over himself, rubbing his arm, “Don’t you ever think...about how we were basically told who we were supposed to be with for the rest of our lives? Don’t you ever think about...I don’t know, just kissing someone else because you know in a couple years you’ll just have to...well, it’ll only be me.”
