Temporary Tattoo Tutorial
Today I’m going to show you how to make your own temporary tattoos from simple household items.
Here’s what you’ll need to start:
- Print out or drawing of your tattoo, reversed
- Wax Paper
- Pencil
- Black Felt Tip Marker
- Cotton Pad
- Rubbing Alcohol
- A Washcloth
- Baby Powder
- Liquid Band-Aid or Hairspray
Step 1
Place the wax paper over the drawing or print out of your design and use the pencil to trace the design onto the wax paper.
Step 2
Take the felt tip marker and trace over the pencil marks. Then cut away all the excess paper.
Step 3
Use a cotton pad and rubbing alcohol to clean the area of skin where you wish to apply the tattoo.
Step 4
Place the design face down onto your skin and begin to dampen it with the washcloth. Make sure the washcloth is damp with warm water and remains on the skin for at least 30 seconds.
Step 5
A faint outline of your design will appear on your skin. Use the felt tip pen to clean up the edges.
Step 6
Tap the skin lightly with baby powder, but be sure to wipe off the dust, then spray with hairspray or apply liquid Band-Aid.
Done! This tattoo should last 1-3 days. Perfect for costume parties or trying out a real tattoo design.
Have fun!
