Cocking her head at the young prince, her still copper hair caught the sunlight that she was not used to in the warmth that Spain offered, at least in climate. Hiding a smirk she tried to hide the humor that laced itself in her voice. “I believe I was promised a tour but, of course, if you are busy now..”

Philip noticed the humor, or what he assumed to be humor, in her voice and gave a nervous grin to the queen. “You see my beloved wife Aurora has requested my presence at this moment, but might I direct you anywhere?” he asked, hoping the queen wouldn’t be upset with him for the delay in a tour.

Aurora didn’t even hear Philip as the egg hatched in her arms, a look of unconditional love in her eyes as she looked down with unconditional love at the tiny bulbasaur. “Hello little one,” she cooed, gently petting its head to get it acclimated to being touched, “welcome to the world.” 

Hearing Philip’s comment, she couldn’t help but giggle and nod in agreement, “pet her snout, they adore it,” Aurora instructed. 

He watched his wife coo over the baby monster and obeyed her commands, petting the soft scaly creature’s snout as it responded with what was assumed to be a purr. “Hello little one,” he whispered to it as the rest of the baby broke out of it’s shell and leaped into Philip’s arms. “I think he rather likes me.”

“Oh Philip! Look! One of the eggs is hatching,” Aurora told her husband excitedly, cradling the egg as she waited to see which starter would be born. The blonde was partial to grass types, and had recently been working on raising a baby bulbasaur. 

“Rose, you might not want to...” but it was too late. A crack at the top and a little green head popped out, looking at Philip with what he assumed was a smile. “That’s the cutest thing I think I’ve ever seen.”
