mia can’t help but roll her eyes at diana’s comment, eyes scanning the other’s flawless complexion. “always so dramatic,” she teases, “do you even know what a pimple feels like?” she sighs, falling back against the couch, “i was saying that we’re supposed to be starting promotion for the album in a few weeks and i haven’t decided on a name yet.”

diana gives the other a less-than-impressed look, letting her head fall to the side just a bit. “yes, mia, i’ve had a pimple before — but i’ve also had a dermatologist on call since i was ten years old, so it’s not exactly something that PLAGUES me, thankfully.” she crosses one long leg neatly over the other before finally giving mia her actual, full attention. “well, what are the options? you know you can count on me for an honest opinion.”

twirling a brown strand on her index finger, dia blew a bubble with her gum as she listened to her friend while scrolling through her phone, shaking her head at the question. “do you want to go to the spa?” she offered, automatically opening up the app on her phone to schedule, “there’s an open spot for an appointment in..” pausing to double check her device, “an hour and a half,”

diana’s jaw dropped, and it would have almost been comical, were it not for the fact she really wasn’t the funny type. “how’d you read my mind?” she glanced at dia’s phone before her eyes landed back on her best friend’s pretty face. “book that shit, dia. i am in DIRE need of a spa day.” she blew out a gust of hot air, rolling her eyes as she added, “i would’ve gone to the hotel spa, but daddy would’ve thought i wasn’t taking the trip seriously, so ... all business, no pleasure.” and that had TRULY been torturous. but if diana was going to prove herself as a worthy heir to her father’s international real estate company, she had to show him how dedicated she was ( which sadly meant no spa during business travels ).

“UGH, plane travel is so bad for my skin,” diana whined, peering at her blemish-free skin in her little compact mirror. “it’s going to take at least a week to re-hydrate my skin.” she snapped the compact shut, turning a vaguely disinterested eye on the other person. “—anyway, what were you saying?” as if she really cared.

it wasn’t that uncommon for valerie to be up at insane hours in the morning, but usually it was due to finishing up a paper or locking herself in her room for some streaming. tonight, though – was 4am still considered night? – she was stumbling through the hall barefoot, platform booties dangling in her hand. her makeup was a little smudged and she had a grey hoodie (definitely not hers) thrown over a tight dress. as she passed a familiar face, she narrowed her eyes at them in warning, her head pounding. “before you make a walk of shame joke, just remember. i will literally fuck your life up,” she said, teasing, a slow smirk lifting the corner of her mouth.

something about diana that tended to surprise others was the fact that she was actually a morning person ( despite the many nights she often spent out drinking and dancing until the sun could be seen high in the sky ). as motivated as she was, the thought of wasting precious time sleeping when it could be used to accomplish her ever-growing list of goals was entirely UNACCEPTABLE to her. so, it was on her way to the building’s gym at 4am to start off the day with an intense workout ( to sweat out all the recently consumed alcohol ) when diana ran into her sister-in-law in the hallway.

diana crossed her arms over the front of her cropped lululemon jacket, drumming her fingertips on her upper arms while regarding valerie with a dash of amusement, paired with her usual level of general condescension. valerie could have been the poster child for all the walk of shamers of the world with her smudged makeup, the hoodie over a club dress — even down to the barefoot trudge, heels dangling on her fingertips. “good morning to you too, sis,” diana drawled, her lips curved in a smirk to mirror valerie’s. “no need to ‘fuck my life up,’ i’m married to your sister — that comes with more than enough CHAOS as it is.” she couldn’t help herself from a teasing dig next: “though, as hungover as you obviously are, i have to wonder just how much damage you’re actually capable of inflicting.”

east knew way better than to keep diana waiting. whenever she sent the text that he was allowed to come over, he pretty much dropped everything he was doing and hurried his ass to her place. lucky for both of them, he had just gotten out of the shower and was fixing up his hair with some paste when his phone vibrated. he slid on a simple white v-neck and jeans, knowing they wouldn’t be on long so what’s the point of getting dressed up? plus, what’s underneath the clothes is what mattered more in this situation than anything else. his abs were on point, so was his skin but he made sure to apply a signature, top of the line expensive cologne to keep her entertained and wanting more from the moment he entered her place.

after deeming himself presentable and ready, he made his way to her place with a pep in his step. and with semi-rushing legs so he didn’t have to worry about her changing her mind and moving on to someone else. knocking on the door, he had a signature motion of his knuckles that he always used and a beat that went along with it so she knew that it was him. as he awaited for her to open up and let him in, he couldn’t help but lick over his lips slowly, already craving the taste of both her and the liquor that he knew she would have waiting for him at the wet bar.

when she heard the familiar knock, a little smirk danced its way onto diana’s lips. she set her martini glass down and sashayed over to the door, taking her sweet time. she’d let others break a sweat keeping up with her, but she’d NEVER be caught dead running after anyone else. diana pulled open the door, standing in the crack so he could get a glimpse of her outfit. her robe was loosely tied so that it dipped open suggestively, just barely revealing her lacy black bra. her toned leg peeked out of the slit of the robe, smooth and lightly glimmering from her body lotion.

"i was a minute away from texting you not to bother,” she tilted her head at the redhead, not so subtly eyeing him from top to bottom. the outline of his abs under the plain white tee left her thirsty for a little something STRONGER than gin. “glad i didn’t.” her eyes flicked up to meet his, dark and enticing, before she opened the door up wider to let him step in. she walked over to the island again, picking up her martini glass. it was nearly empty. “your favourite,” she gestured with a tip of her head in the direction of the whiskey she’d poured. still, her eyes were trained on his every move, following the lines of his arm muscles and sharp, handsome facial features. diana had never been known for subtlety.

diana fiore was not the type who liked to be kept waiting — for someone as rich as her, patience was simply an unnecessary virtue. what was the point of all this wealth if it couldn’t get her what she wanted right when she wanted it? although, when it came to sex ... well, she didn’t need money to get it, unlike some pathetic poor souls. but the principle remained the SAME — keep her waiting, and you’d have to face the consequences. thus, when she texted east around 9 pm with a simple ‘come over,’ she expected him to at her door within a certain time frame. otherwise, she’d just find what she needed elsewhere.

she checked herself in the mirror before leaving her lavish bedroom, slipping into the kitchen and over to the bar she and luce kept well-stocked with only the highest quality spirits. she made herself a gin martini with a lemon twist and then poured a glass of whiskey, taking a seat at the kitchen island as she listened for the INEVITABLE knock at the door.

spare time is kinda limited these days, but i love finding new veggie recipes to cook! i think i’ve already learned about fifty different pasta recipes — i could literally eat pasta everyday for the rest of my life, i love it so much.
