Did this child actually survive? In the film's canon I mean. Because we see Cal's lifeboat tip and a load of people fall out. A women with dark hair was holding the girl after Cal handed her over. Then after the lifeboat tips we see him defending it from people trying to get in, some presumably BACK in to it because it doesn't even look half full.

In this frame, which I used for another one of my GIFs, you can see that the girl is still in the arms of the woman Cal handed her to, just as the lifeboat is approaching the Carpathia.
