As the winter months drag endlessly on, with no finishline line in sight my mind drifts to sunny California summers. The beaches, the scent of ocean air drifting by as the sun cascades across your warm skin. Â And then, wham!! Â I snap back into reality as I look out my window at the rainy, cold, 40 degree sog-fest-of-a-day here in Portland. But, all this gets me thinking. Â Thinking about why it is so many people choose to decorate with a beach themed decor in there homes. It's the feeling!! Everyone wants that whisked away reminiscing day dream of the perfect summer day in their everyday lives. They just want to be transported. I totally get it! The only problem is getting the perfect beach feeling without becoming too on the nose. Now this is the tricky part. However, it can be done very easily in fact. You just have to stick to a few rules if you will....
