Family troubles (chapter 20)
A/N: wow guys already on chapter 20! That’s insane I really didn’t know how popular this story would become! Sorry I haven’t updated in seriously like forever it feels like. I have been super busy with life, and school. Now I’m on crutches with a bad knee so my times freeing up a bit lol. Hope you all enjoy this!

“zaynie” Louis voice was raw and weak, and it broke zayn’s heart to see how sick his husband was.
“I’m here honey” He promised slowly bringing Louis hand to his lips and placing kisses to the palm of his hand.
Louis smiled
In that moment once again everything was fine, and it felt safe. Something Zayn wasn’t even sure existed anymore.
“Was… Wrong withs ‘ee?” He slurred slightly.
“You have a concussion baby. Your blood sugar dropped, and it caused you to pass out. Your going to be fine” Zayn assured holding Louis hand soothingly.
“Slove oo” he slurred his eyes drooping as he fell asleep.
Zayn smiled softly at his husband, and held his hand soothingly. Everything would be okay. It’s what he had to keep telling himself. Everything would be okay.
“I feel funny” Liam told the nurse of the day care place that his daddy took him to.
“What do you mean honey?” One of the kind ladies of the day care asked.
“Tired, and my tummy hurts” he complained.
The care taker Olivia knew that the little boy was currently receiving treatment for cancer. She was slightly worried, but didn’t want to scare the little boy.
“Can I see your tummy for a second love?” She smiled.
Liam simply shrugged, and lifted his t-shirt.
The nurse frowned as she saw the little boys stomach was swollen. She gently took a hand and she could easily feel how swollen it was.
“Okay honey let’s go get doctor Matthews Yeah?” She smiled.
Liam nodded, and smiled more. He liked his doctor.
“Wan daddy to” he told her.
“I’m calling your daddy now” she promised.
Zayn took a deep breath as he hung up his cell phone. His family couldn’t catch a break.
He rushed to be with his baby who was apparently sick, and he prayed it wasn’t his cancer.
He was so little! He couldn’t loose his baby boy! He was so brave, and he’d been fighting this for as long as he could remember. ********** Liam whimpered as the nice doctor started looking him over, and touching his tummy. Everything he did was hurting him! “Stop!” Liam cried hating how he felt, and how much he was hurting. “I’m sorry honey” he soothed. Liam simply moaned as the doctor gave him an IV of pain medication. Zayn knocked on the hospital door, and slowly made his way in. His heart breaking as he saw his little boy lying on the bed an IV in his arm. “I’m afraid I don’t have good news” the doctor explained cutting straight to the chase. “W-what is it?” He frowned. “His blood platelets are low, and there’s swelling in his stomach. We need to start him on the chemo, radiation again” ******************* Zayn felt like his entire world was falling apart. Now all of his family were in the hospital… “He’s gonna be okay right? You can cure this and he can go into remission again? Right?” He asked taking a deep breath. Doctor Matthews hesitated before he slowly placed a hand on Zayns shoulder. “I can’t answer that. He’s been dealing with this for years, and he’s been out of remission for a year so far. I just don’t know if his body can handle this” Zayn took a deep breath as tears flooded his vision. ********** Louis was sitting by nialls hospital bed holding the oldest boys hand, and he spoke softly to him. He had managed to convince a nurse to let him sit with his baby for a little bit. “Baby… Please be okay! I’m so sorry for being an awful father. I I didn’t know we hurt you… And now I do. It breaks my heart knowing I hurt you. I promised to protect you, but I broke that promise. I’m so sorry baby. So is papa. You have to wake up, and be okay” he begged softly moaning softly as the tears hurt his head more.
For a second Louis thought Niall was waking up as his hand twitched in his hand. "Niall, baby?” He asked smiling at the reaction. Instead of an answer nialls hand twitched again. “Niall?” He frowned slightly as the hand twitched. Instead of an answer his hand twitched again before his entire body started thrashing on the bed. Tears started to flood Louis visions as the monitors connected to his lifeless seizing body began to sound. “Niall?!” He panicked. “Get him out of here!” Doctor Blake screamed as he and several nurses ran into the child’s room. Louis let out a sob as he felt himself being wheeled from the room. ********************* “How long?” He demanded as a nurse timed the seizure. “8 minutes” she answered quickly. Doctor Blake cursed, and quickly administered a drug to stop the seizure. Nialls frail body stilled on the bed, and the heart monitor connected to him began to beep, and his eyes turned to the monitor. “He’s in bradycardia!” Doctor Blake cursed. The heart monitor suddenly began going off, and everyone’s heart dropped as the young boys heart stopped again. “No pulse doctor!” The nurse yelled and quickly started life saving compressions on the boys exposed chest. “Call a code blue!” Doctor Blake commanded as he started filling with his IV port, and administered another drug into it. ********************* “Code blue room 510! Room 510! Code blue room 510!” The speaker blared through the entire hospital. Zayn stopped dead in his tracks. Louis fell from his wheel chair onto the floor in a sobbing mess. Liam slept peacefully unaware of anything that was going on. A nurse keeping a constant eye on how he was doing. His little body beginning to fail, as it seemed like the cancer was finally winning. ******************** “Ten minutes” a nurse warned as they watched the doctor fight to save the young boys life. “Come on Niall! Don’t give up!” Doctor Blake continued the compressions his arms getting weak, but he wasn’t about to stop. “15 minutes” came another reply, and the whole room went silent as they watched boy’s body spasm upward from the voltage, but the monitor continued to show a flat line. ******************** Zayns heart began to pound as the words sunk into his brain. ‘Code blue Room 510’ His baby wasn’t breathing… Was he dead. The entire hospital felt like it went silent after that. He started running… Sprinting towards Nialls hospital room. His heart dropped as he noticed a nurse hugging Louis, and he immediately thought the worst. “Louis” tears began leaking from his own eyes as he felt his husband weak embrace. “Zee” Louis broke down in complete sobs. “The doctors are working on him” the nurse explained, and Zayn simply nodded his head relief flooding him a little… He wasn’t dead. Yet. ******************* “25 minutes… Be ready to call it” the doctor looked at the nurse sorrow invading his voice. A nurse kept a close eye on the clock on the wall. She closed her eyes, and took a deep breath waiting for the words to come out. ******************** A/N: I haven’t updated in forever sorry about that guys I promise I haven’t abandoned this story just a lot going on.
