Now what exactly is the Dreamers AU, you may ask?

The Dreamers AU is an SMG4 AU written by yours truely! Basically, It's a "wouldn't it be craazyyy if Puzzles went even more off His rocker and ended up brainwashing the smg4 crew + a couple others into being His followers and forced Himself to be a god" situation based off of a weird dream I had a bit ago. Hence the name!

Basically the followers are all separated into "star rankings", all out of five. The only person who is five stars is Puzzles. Four stars are those closest to him; so only a select few have that rank. (Meggy + WPNZ + Karen) Three stars are semi-important people("Priests", healers, those high ranking in His guard[Toomp]), two stars are slightly the same as three but slightly less influence, and one stars are those who are His least favorite or just unimportant to the story characters.

The main characters are mostly(in no particular order + click on a character's name to see their design!):

Puzzles, WPNZ, Meggy, Karen, SMG4, SMG3, Toomp, and Tari.

(CHARACTERS THAT DONT HAVE A LINK ARE A WIP I PROMISE IM WORKING ON IT OKAY)

Also do note, when referring to Dreamers!Puzzles, please capitalize His pronouns. Thank you! :)

Now, onto the blog.

This AU literally came to me in a dream. If anything story wise seems messy or I forget some details, that's mostly why.

Also, there may be sensitive topics—as Puzzles is uh....A Little Bit More unhinged in this au.

Aaaand here are the ask rules! (more will be added if necessary)

No outright nsfw. Somewhat suggestive asks are fine, but please just don't be super weird. I will block you.

Don't be an asshole. Yes, dreamers is something else, but like....!! I don't exactly wanna deal with getting death threats n shit?? Yk.

Ships are okay. UNLESS IT IS MARWARE OR ANYONE IN THE SMG4 CREW. If you try to initiate that, I might block you. Sorry. Gunshow encouraged however. :3

A large portal appears in front of him, and a — ...well, a version of Puzzles appears in front of him. Not at all gracefully. He does not at all land out of the portal gracefully. Just....falls flat on His face. A few feathers fall off of him.

" Eeurgh....my head.... " He groaned, sitting up to the best of His ability. " Seriously... Again? Why am I always forced to— " He is then promptly yanked back into the portal.

// mb wrong guy . hold on .

Following...that, a hooded metal figure is promptly thrown out of the portal. He makes a loud crashing sound as he hits a nearby wall.

" OW FUCK — " He yelps, " SERIOUSLY MAN--?! WHAT THE FUCK— " He yelled back at the portal, which then promptly closes. " God...dammit... " He looks around, before his eyes— or, rather, eye, as one is only visible, lands on Puzzles. He stares blankly. " The hell is this? "

【 Mr. Puzzles completely stops what he was doing (which definitely wasn't having tea—no, no, he was being very productive, yes, yes!), turns to look at the figure, only to be confused upon seeing another version of himself. 】

" i huh-... i don't remember putting a mirror here- WAIT THAT'S NOT MY BEAUTIFUL REFLECTION- "

【 He has little time to analyze the situation before someone else appears in front of him. 】

" what the- what's all this?? Who are you?? "

The hooded figure just stares for a second, trying to process where the hell he was. When he processed Puzzles. He blinked, standing up and dusting himself.

What the hhell....

" Um. Could ask the same to you. " He spoke gruffly, avoiding the question as he straightened himself up. This guy basically just looks like WPNZ but his face is obscured by a hood that's covering his face. He has other physical differences but I'm too lazy to fully describe him (its 1:30 am leave me alone.....) He cleared his throat.

" But you huh... you certainly look like someone who get out of the street honestly- if this is some charity i must tell you that I don't have any money for you... "

" Wait- Wpnz?- "

He tenses up, becoming slightly defensive. " Rude..." He listens for a second, before he flinches ever-so-slightly whenever Puzzles says his name.

" How the hell doya know my name? And why do you look so much like — "

He paused. This can NOT be right. Why the hell did He look so different? That's not Him, is it? Couldn't it? But that's — that's impossible! He couldn't have just lost all of his godliness within, like, 5 minutes!

" Feathers? " He spoke, unsure. " What the hell happened to you? "

His high priestess. She mainly focuses on the village however, keeping them happy is one of her favorite things. Very no nonsense when it comes to certain things. She loves her kids.

heres a fun fact! Her flower crown was made for her by the triplets! They stole the flowers from the community garden. Oh well!

A lot of the information on that post was just concepts; and the story has since then slightly grown from just that. Dear Puzzles, what 'godly' deeds have you done today?

" I am so glad you asked! Today, I blessed a sick child and helped around the village, along with hosting a celebratory feast for a new member of my guard. lowk just realized that I have literally not ever mentioned toomp at all in the dreamers au so uh..,.,,. Oops. Design jumpscare however..!!!

heres a fun fact!: Toomp is WPNZ's right hand man! He frequently assists him in crucial tasks regarding the safety of Him and all that. Puzzles honestly didn't know what to do with him at first, but figured that he wanted to work with WPNZ in some way.

something something dreamers au puzzles feeling guilty about being around wpnz period. dreamers wpnz falls for Him, but puzzles, believing those feelings are probably not real and just a byproduct of what He made him, feels immense guilt about it and instead pushes him away with no explanation why.

what makes it even worse is those feelings aren't completely false, and that that's apart of the crack in wpnz's haze. The real wpnz is still angry at Him, but he still loves Him and he hates it with all of his being. wpnz feels hurt by Him pushing away, but can't exactly voice why as he technically isn't even supposed to love Him like that in the first place. He is supposed to be the God he worships, nothing else.

// dreamers wpnz refers to puzzles using bird related nicknames a lot btw :) main one being feathers. puzzles doesn't often use nicknames for him—but He does occasionally call him stardust or just star related nicknames. Or my knight!

// along with that, not sure if I ever mentioned this at all, but originally stated in the information post about the AU is that WPNZ is still married to Karen.

// this is KINDA iffy, as they aren't LEGALLY married but due to Puzzles' brainwashing they believe they still are. This is mainly because Puzzles, feeling guilty about keeping him trapped, gave him Karen and his kids in a way so that he had at least something. This backfired as they're still pretty strained.

// Puzzles' wings/wing do not work and He can not fly. Since He forced Himself to "ascend" to godhood, one of His wings wasn't exactly correct which caused Him to have to get rid of it. Also, He just can't fly period since his back "muscles" aren't able to handle it. He's tried before He got rid of the one wing.
