“you're afraid to let yourself be happy because you know that it never lasts”

Despite the pain those we loose leave it’s beautiful how some people have the power to leave such an aching imprint on your soul. There are so many humans on this earth so what is it that binds us to only some of them, leaving us agonised in their absence. This grief is just a testament to how special they were to you. They will live on within you every time your heart fills with love at the thought of them.

“I know a beautiful soul when I feel one. The empath in me honors the authentic in you.”
Melody Lee
“im curious about what made you you. im curious about your taste in music. im curious about the way your mind thinks. im curious about how your body likes to be touched. im curious about your late night thoughts and how they make you feel. im curious about every single thing about you.”

“It's this feeling that you want to love strangers, that you want to kiss the man at the post office, or the woman at the dry cleaners-you want to wrap your arms around life, life itself, but you can't, and this feeling wells up in you, and there is nowhere to put this great happiness and you're floating. And then you fall down and become unbearably sad. And you have to go lie down on the couch.”

"'Do you fall in love often?' Yes often. With a view, with a book, with a dog, a cat, with numbers, with friends, with complete strangers, with nothing at all."
Jeanette Winterson ~ Gut Symmetries
"I have the deepest affection for intellectual conversations. The ability to just sit and talk. About love, about life, about anything, about everything. To sit under the moon with all the time in the world, the full-speed train that is our lives slowing to a crawl. Bound by no obligations, barred by no human limitations. To speak without regret or fear of consequence. To talk for hours and about what's really important in life."
“It stresses me out how much I want to excel in, how much there is to see of the world, and all the things I want to do. Labels, time, motivation, it's all limiting me. I need to start baking, studying, writing, reading, taking more photos, planning more trips, opening myself up. My life is so short and theres so much i want to be and i'm stressed because sometimes I feel like i'm wasting my time here.”

"I like depth. I like when I can look at something and feel it in my heart. I like when I can read a sentence with few words and feel like I'm drowning. I'm not a masochist or a sadist, l just enjoy the quiet reminders that my heart does more than pump blood."

“There’s a difference between the kind of suffering we can’t avoid and the suffering we choose”
“I've seen a lot of beautiful things with a heavy heart.”
Albert Camus
"Some people turn sad awfully young. No special reason, it seems, but they seem almost to be born that way. They bruise easier, tire faster, cry quicker, remember longer and, as 1 say, get sadder younger than anyone else in the world. I know, for I'm one of them."
Ray Bradbury ~ Dandelion Wine
“I'm in pain because the day is ending and somehow I am never healing.”
Anne Sexton ~ A Self-Portrait In Letters
“The tragedy of what could have been is nearly as crippling as what once was but can never be again.”
"And once the storm is over, you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't ever be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won't be the same person who walked in. That's what this storm is all about"
Haruki Murakami ~ Kafka on the Shore
“You'll cry yourself to death. Tell me: Why are you so devoted to your pain?”
Sophocles Electra
"The relief of giving in to destruction."
Franz Kafka ~ Diaries, 1910 - 1923
