To those ruled by hunger
a need, a fear of going without or letting go or giving away, to the hoarders, the addicts, the paranoid, the lonely, the gluttons, the dehydrated, the power hungry and the control freaks, the medicated, those off our meds, those trying to find the right meds, the insecure, the attention seekers, the overly confident, the ones who project, offer advice, those who celebrate with desperation, cry with their shoulders and their voice and no tears, those who yell with their hands and words and an unmoving face,
We’re all scared. We’re all lonely. We’re all hungry. It’s okay. And even if it isn’t, it will be. Practice excellence. Receive courageously. Check your dosage. Ask for help. Do the work. Give yourself grace. Rest. Cut it with water. Be your own hero. Be your own best friend. Romance yourself. Put others first. Forgive hard. Think carefully. Speak your mind. Be bold. Breathe. Celebrate desperately.
