the betrayal

you die at the hands of the person you love most. maybe there are tears in their eyes as they drive the sword into your chest, maybe there is none. there are certainly tears in yours. your mouth will open to ask 'why' only to spit blood instead. you will die never knowing if they loved you at all, wondering if you could've done something to prevent this, or if it was always going to end this way.

𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: Yikes, I'm about to show my age. I started roleplaying on Bebo when I was quite young, then moved into one-on-one roleplays over email and Skype, then joined the Tumblr roleplaying scene in 2012 and now I switch between writing here and on Discord!

𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞: I usually tend to write a lot to start with to establish scenes, characters, emotions and opening dialogue and then try and either continue that momentum or switch to shorter replies depending upon the vibe with my partner!

𝐩𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐬 & 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬: Lack of communication. Roleplaying is collaboration in creative writing form and if either side doesn't talk to one another, it becomes extremely difficult. I'm not saying OOC chat is essential, but plotting and discussion of characters is really important to me.

𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬: I don't mind either way! Whatever flows from one reply to the next!

𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞: I write whenever I have muse, be that early in the morning or late at night! Although, I'll usually tailor my replies to other people's timezones so I can catch them at the right time.

𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐞?: I am a lot more like Aatos than I realise sometimes! We both prefer fantasy to reality, value the written word and see beauty in the everyday. I also love a circus/ballroom/theatre aesthetic - it brings out my passion for gothic horror!
