Nightly talks & cuddles

When you’re sneaking out of your boyfriend’s room but his dad sees you:

Killer kept on tracing along the lines of Dream's hand, almost an hypnotic movement. The night, for once, was calm.

No nightmares, no wind howling against the windows, no weird or creepy stories from either Ink or Dust, no distance between them.

Just them.

Killer had miss being just them.

-And then I went to this library, that I’ve never been to before- his voice was soft, barely a whisper -On the door there was a smaller door and I was like, weird but charming- Killer just hummed back, slightly nodding against the pillowcase.

-But then, I went in and there was a cat!- Dream's voice had gone up an octave, before shifting to a more mischievous tone.

-And not just a cat...a biiig fat one!-Killer lips curled in an half smile.

-Oh yeah?-

-Mhm! Big, big Big fluffy cat, I wanted to steal him for you-

-If you stole a cat for me I would have married you as soon as you got off the bus-Dream giggled, hiding his mouth behind his free hand.

-Hey, I was serious you know?-

-Please don't ask me to marry you at the bus stop-

-But you would say yes, right?-

-I have to steal a cat first-

In the middle of their conversation, they had gotten closer to each other, foreheads touching with a gentle "bonk". They looked at each other, small laughed dissolving in a intimate smile, calm breaths and eyes closing.

-I missed you...- Dream had surged a bit forward after his words, lips caressing in a quick kiss Killer's.

Killer's response was mumbled against the other's lips, as Killer followed him for another kiss.

Just them. That was what they needed.

-Mhm-

-I'll see you tomorrow at the Diner for breakfast, right?-

-If Blue doesn't keep you for himself- Dream tried to look unimpressed by the joking tone of Killer's voice, but a yawn came between him and his stern face.

Killer smiled, giving a last kiss on his forehead.

-You should really go to sleep Dreamy, you’re still tired from the trip.-

Dream grumbled slightly pulling the covers of his bed over his shoulder.

-Fine fine...- he hesitated for a second before sneaking his hand out of the cover, to hold for a second more Killer's one, in a gentle squeeze.

Killer squeezed back, before lowing his back just enough to reach their hold and leave a kiss on the back of his hand.

-Lovely Dreams-

-Mhm...-

They parted with a small smile.

Killer closed the door behind him with a small huff, knowing that if he had looked back he would have immediately crawled back in the bed to cuddle with his boyfriend. But dream was tired. The capital wasn't that far from their small town, but the buses were slow, and sometimes erratic.

It was fine. They had two whole weeks ahead of them before Dream had to go back to the city.

Swimming in that wonderful prospective, -two whole weeks man!-, he failed to notice right away the light on in the kitchen.

Guys what if right?

Before I deep dive into the background (bc i have it all planned out rn) THIS IS PURELY FOR MY OWN ENJOYEMENT!! NO these guys are not the canon versions, their characters have been changed to fit into the narrative as best as i could. Things may even change IF i decide to go full in on this idea and create my own story out of it...i have so many ideas

For this, Ink and Error own the smallest of businesses in writing and creating papers for the news around town! They own a small 2 story corner building. That's where they hold work. They take freelance work from other companies. As well as write their own papers for extra money.

Ink, your main event seeker of the scene. He is your guy who goes out in town, attempting to seek out any good news that would be worth putting in the papers. He will interview, take notes, and even doodle just in case he forgets any small details. He would be the one you see most out and about (same as for PJ.)

Error, your writer. The man who hunkers down on the second floor for hours at a time, correcting any grammatical errors Ink may have put down and if he is not working on editing, he is most likely working on the linotype for printing.

And Paper Jam, your paper boy at the end of the street. As you would have guessed it, he walks around town dropping off the mail. He practically knows every road at this point, knowing every good route he can take for shortcuts.

Ink and Error get along fairly well, mostly since they are co-workers, they practically HAVE to get along or at least tolerate each other. These three are the only ones working there, again, small business. They're barely scraping by even.

I have so many notes and even a comic strip idea in place if i can make this into a proper story. I don't have it fully planned out, just the backgrounds and character personalities and what they would do BUT IF I CAN THINK OF SOMETHING FOR PLOT WOULD ANYONE BE INTERESTED IN THIS?? 🤯

We know, we've been criminally neglecting Fell(and other characters)</3 but he definitely exists, and will be in more stuff soon!

You can already find him in the first chapters of our ao3 fic, and you can always send asks for him to answer now that he officially appeared here in the blog too (I will add him to the masterpost later)

In the meantime, we can only offer a couple of fun facts:

-Fell didn't like Blue at first. He seemed to him like some city guy there to boss them around

-He didn't want to work there, but anywhere is better than staying home

I want to follow up anon’s question abt Killer tryna kill Nightmare with two more

How many times HAS he tried to kill NM?

Was he okay after, particularly after he was almost successful?

3 times

First time when he got kidnapped he was between stage 1 and 2 he then quickly realized that nightmare is way different level so he gives up

Second time when nightmare ordered killer to destroy other AUs with him kill refuses not because he cared about harming the AUs killer just doesn’t want to follow orders again he rather get killed then go through all of this all over again but again nightmare won because he found a way throw killer messed up code to control killer

Third time when nightmare tried forcing killer to go back and destroy his own universe, this is the first time stage “????” Came out and almost won against nightmare but the problem with that stage it’s temporary and when it’s gone killer will pass out from pain and exhaustion 

Killer can’t remember clearly when he go to that stage and nightmare will never tell him how strong killer was
