OhâŠ.
Superman isn't woke. You're just so evil that you see a man doing acts of kindness and you think it's a targeted political agenda
Guys my heart. Itâs the darn mobile game that confirmed it too
Iâm looking to find an RP partner or a discord server for the Invincible fandom. MUST be 18 or older and have the ability to write at least a paragraph or two.
Characters I play: Cecil, Mark (mines gay), Donald, Thragg (With conditions), Conquest. I have two OCs.
Experience: Iâve Watched the whole Amazon series, read both lore books, finished the comic series.
I will discuss any limits and restrictions privately but Iâm not looking for just smut I want a real plot. While I donât require a complete lore knowledge I do ask that anyone interested at least have the whole show under their belt and be comfortable with spoilers.
You really liked my Viltrum Mark, but will you like Sinister as much?
I love him very much. He is not a hero, but he is not a villain either, although he tries very hard to look like one. I find it funny how he makes his voice more raspy to be so sinister and cool. Lol.
(â ă»â ââ ă»â )
despite everything, itâs still you
Watching that Netflix thingy about the Titan submarine, a thing that sticks out to me - and annoys me - is this canard that Stockton Rush was trying to 'democratise submersible travel' or 'open up the oceans' or whatever and it's just bollocks.
Dude didn't do shit. He invented a shit submarine that dived a handful of times and then imploded. Everyone who told him his submarine was shit he got rid of. He was never going to advance anything because his submarine wasn't ever going to get anywhere. He was a failure before he started because he was doing the wrong thing the wrong way and ignoring everyone who said so.
But the line is oh, the dude had vision, oh he wanted to shake things up, oh this oh that oh the other.
No! No! Don't indulge these people!
It's like Elizabeth Holmes! "Oh, if her machine had worked" - IT DIDN'T! IT WASN'T EVER GOING TO WORK! IF YOU LIE YOU DON'T GET CREDIT! YOU WERE WRONG! YOU LIED! YOU DIDN'T DO SHIT!
ARGH!
#a thing that imo really comes out in the doc even if nobody spells it out loud #is that that was a man born into multigenerational privilege #who was used to advance in life through his wealth #and somehow convinced himself that happened because of merit #of course his shit submarine was going to disrupt deep sea exploration or whatever #any other thing he did in life turned out right for him #and didn't realize it was because he had the safety net of his wealth #you know what's something not even wealth can protect you from? the laws of physics (via @bidonica)
It's this worship of entrepreneurs, that they were inherently noble for trying. It's more a story of man's folly. He didn't listen to expert advice and got him and other people killed. He's more like Ulysses in The Divine Comedy!

Blood For The Legion 1-?
All of Frankâs life so far had been a blur of homes, people, pain and desperation. Heâd gotten used to the mistreatment and misery of his life and had almost accepted it when heâd arrived in Ormond three years ago. When he heard of the abandoned ski lodge at the top of the mountain, he knew it was destined to be the first home of his precious Legion. He vanished from his room in the middle of the night and was the first of them to take the hazardous trip up the mountain, everyone in town assumed heâd just finally packed up and left town altogether- everyone except his Legion, who knew heâd rather die than leave the only people whoâd ever loved him behind. Â
It had taken months for him to take the main building- the only one left that had any kind of decent integrity left and make it into their sanctuary. Broken windows had were boarded up and any holes repaired. The others visited when the weather allowed and brought him food and whatever he needed to work on his madman's mission, Julie begged him to come back home with her- sheâd wanted to hide him when she saw the tired and crazed look in his eyes. Working on the place took all his time, and the work was starting to wear on him. Heâd sit on the dusty couch with Julie in his lap, staring with tired, dead eyes at the crackling fire heâd built in the den while she talked about whatever was going on with her and the others. âFrank! Hey!â She forced him to look at her and it snapped him out of his fugue state. Sheâd changed since heâd come here. Her blonde hair had gotten longer, her face more angular as she grew into a beautiful and deadly woman. Sheâd hung onto him even when he had no idea how to accept love from someone, sheâd been patient when he didnât know how to give it back. She cupped her hands around his pierced face and massaged his jaw and neck, earning a small, pleased grunt out of him. âYouâve been sitting here with a thousand-yard stare for the last hour, are you doing alright?â âMâ just tired.â He mumbled, tilting his head up as she continued petting him like she might a large and dangerous dog. He gave her a smile when he felt her long nails part his shaggy brown hair and graze on his scalp. âI need to finish this place, we deserve an actual home.â âYou deserve a real home, Frank.â She leaned in and kissed his face a few times. She liked to shower him with affection when he was brooding like this. âThatâs why Iâm coming up here with you.â Â
âNo, youâre not.â The glare he leveled into Julie's eyes was expected and at the same time the most emotion sheâd seen from him since she got here. âItâs not ready yet. I donât want you up here when I canât even get the rooms warm.â âWeâll get a mattress and pull it next to the fire.â She returned her hand to the side of his face to soothe him. âI canât think of a more romantic thing to do than curling up by the fire with you⊠all alone with nothing but the wind outside.â She whispered close to his face and saw how the idea was changing his mind. Love was his one catastrophic weakness, it cut through years of trauma and pain and forced the rolling core of fear and spite within him to still. Sheâd gotten used to his mercurial moods and was good at reaching him when no one else could. âI donât want you to work yourself to death, you need help.â âMmm⊠itâs for the Legion.â He mumbled as she returned to trying to loosen his tight jaw and taut neck. âWhat about you? Youâre our leader, Frank. If you die on this mountain, we wonât be able to carry on without you. Let me help you, itâs not like I have anything but a minimum wage job in a ghost town.â She watched his blue eyes for any information on his inner state, he had the look of a man about to collapse and it had her worried. âWeâre The Legion, we donât do things alone, we work together. Isnât that what you told us? Weâd never be alone anymore as long as we had one another.â There it was, the shift in his eyes when he tried to look away from her. He was giving in. Â
âFine, but if it gets dangerous, Iâm sending you back down.â He laid his head back on the couch and Julie smiled at her victory. Â
âIt wonât, because Iâm here with you.â Julie made her way off Frankâs lap and stretched. âIâm going to head home, and Iâll be back in the morning, alright?â Heâd wordlessly followed her up and wrapped his arms around her, nuzzling into her hair. It was clear the man was suffering here alone, he wasnât going to be alright much longer as thin as he was getting. Frank was self-destructive and damn it if he wouldnât martyr himself for the rest of them. He was a good leader, but they were Legion, and they were weak alone. Â
As Frank watched Julieâs car pull out and back down the mountain, he felt an agonizing pain in his chest. He wanted to scream at her to stop; he wanted to chase after her. Even though sheâd be back in the morning, it felt like she was leaving him forever and it woke a panic in him. It happened when all of them left, but with Julie it was like his entire body launched into a fight-or-flight state and he didnât know what it was. He gritted his teeth and let out a growl; he needed distraction, and he needed it now. Â
He stepped back inside and locked the heavy wooden doors against the vicious winter outside. Anywhere that wasn't around the fire was freezing but he needed to finish some extra work if Julie was coming to stay. While the anxiety of her getting hurt chewed at him from the inside, the thought of having her so close gave him a kind of relief he wasn't accustomed to. He didn't want to appear weak and needy in front of the others; he was their leader, and he was the one to give them the knife when they first shed blood together. He owed it to them to be strong, to be their rock in the storms they went through. Â
Frank decided the first thing he needed to do was find beds for them. Following Julie's idea he could pull them around the fire, and they'd have a place to be safe and warm. With his goal set he started exploring the lodge, it was easy enough to find bedrooms, but harder to find beds that weren't destroyed by mold or the elements that found their way in through broken windows. He was about to give up when he remembered the lodge was shielded by the mountain on the other side and tried those, managing to find two rooms where the windows hadn't been broken in and were miraculously intact with the exception of dust and a musty smell. He checked for dangerous mold and when he didn't find any; he stole one of the beds. Â
It was a miracle he got it downstairs without throwing it or himself off the old wooden staircase. The banister wasn't going to hold him, much less him and a large mattress that likely weighed as much as him. The brunette denied his condition when the others were here, but he collapsed the instant the bed was in place and realized they'd been right. He was crumbling like their home, and was frantically trying to put himself together just to keep working on the lodge. He couldn't even remember the last time he'd eaten, and that was enough reason to spur him into standing again. Â
The food was kept next to the fire pit in a large cooler with Joey's tape player he'd brought here to keep Frank company while he worked along with some tapes, made with music everyone picked out. Joey was good with music and took the time to make all of them mixtapes with their favorite songs on them. Theyâd been his only comfort in his friend's absence, a piece of them he kept close by and safe. Â
He grabbed a bag of chips and a bottle of water from the cooler and sat down in front of the tape player. Frank's piercings glinted in the fire's light as he sifted through the tapes until he came across one he hadn't seen before; it had a strange red casing that looked like wet blood and looked like it was melted then forced back into form again. It didn't look like Joey's work and Frank crunched down chips while he did his best to find some kind of marking or title to tell him what it was, the rippled surface gave him a feeling of dread and he reached for the tape player. He wanted to know what it contained.Â
â--------------------------------------------------------
Julie woke up and practically threw herself out of bed. She hadn't wanted to just leave Frank in the state he was in; he tended to not take care of himself when matters involving them were concerned and even leaving him alone for the night bothered her. Frank hated the others knowing his vulnerabilities, he saved that only for her when they were alone. To the others he always had to be the perfect, fearless leader but Julie knew his secret. He was soft and wounded just beyond that visage. He enjoyed being loved and comforted, he also hated being alone which is why she was rushing to get everything done so she could get up the mountain and be there with him.Â
She'd rushed back home and quickly packed everything into the back of her car, then ran and bought food and supplies before finally pulling up to Joey's apartment. Susie and Joey were the only ones of the group to actually finish high school. Frank quit early on, and Julie quit soon after he did when she couldnât stand to be there without him. Joey and Susie stuck with it and still made the same amount as her in this stupid frozen town. Theyâd been considering taking online college, but the problem was Ormond wasnât a place you made anything of yourself in, they could have all the degrees in the world, and it wouldnât make a difference in the rapidly depleting population of their hometown.Â
Julie stepped out of her car and into the slush and threw the door shut. All sheâd wanted to do in the start was to use Frank to get out of this town, and then she got to know him and saw the man underneath the leather and the bad attitude. It broke her heart to know him and she couldnât tell him no when he came up with this crazy idea to live in an even more icy hellscape than they already lived. Sheâd fallen in love with the man. His dedication and loyalty, his willingness to do anything for them. Julie shook her head, she needed to focus. She had to get all this done and get up there before Frank got himself hurt.Â
Susie answered seconds after Julie knocked on the door with paint on her face and lit up when she realized who it was. âJulie!â The shorter girl threw her arms around her best friend and let her in. With both of them as artists, their apartment was naturally covered in instruments, mixing equipment and painting supplies. They had been considering going to the same college together, but with everything being so expensive already, they were quickly running out of hope for that. âJoey is working on a paid thing right now, and he told me not to disturb him. Whatâs up?â She tucked her legs under her as she sat down on the couch. âI went to see Frank yesterday.â Julie started and Susie instantly looked concerned. âHeâs⊠not the best right now and Iâm going up the mountain to be with him.â She left out the details of how tired he looked since their friends rushing up the mountain without preparing properly. The storm would make it a disaster if it rolled in and caught them unprepared. âThatâs good. He doesnât show it, but he needs you.â Susie hopped up and picked up a box, handing it to Julie. âWe were going to bring this tomorrow when we came up there, but you should take it now, itâs some military rations, camping stuff, blankets, a first aid kit and some cold weather gear. I found a lot of it thrifting yesterday, and I thought it would help on the mountain when Frank eventually gets done with⊠whatever this is.âÂ
âHe wants to make us a home, a place for us to be together but I donât think he really understands how hard itâs going to be to stay up on the mountain through the winter, I know weâll be fine, itâs not that hard to get down the mountain but sometimes I think this is just his way of trying to run from everything.âJulie watched through the window as a few flakes of snow fell outside, the storms would be here soon and she started to get scared of ideas that swarmed in her mind.Â
âYouâre really in love with him.â Susie giggled, pulling a heavy throw around herself. âYou just wanted to get out of here and now youâre head over heels for him.â Julie would have glared if it wasnât the truth. She realized that they both had something the other desperately needed, they fit together so perfectly as to be intentional.Â
âI need to hurry, weâll be good til tomorrow when you two show up. Iâm sure Frank has already worked himself to death trying to make it comfortable for me.âÂ
âYouâre his grungy murder queen, of course he has.â Susie covered herself, laughing as she was attacked with a pillow.Â
â-----------------------------------------------------------------
The road up the mountain was already covered with snow as Julie made her way up again. This wouldnât be a wonderful winter and she knew it, but something in her wanted to take all the risks just to make Frank happy. It would be rough, but they would make this work and by spring Frank might listen to them and theyâd move to a new town, something with things to do and see. Pulling up to the lodge her heart sank when she saw the ground outside. Red, like a flashbang among the white and grey. âFrank!â She scrambled out of her car and ran out without thinking and found him. Frank was bent over a wounded and dying deer, covered in gore and holding its head down with his knife in the animalâs neck. It bellowed out desperately as the man ate it alive, tearing meat from its side with his teeth. âFrank?â Julie approached cautiously. âWhat are you doing?â He froze when he heard her, looking up slowly from his meal. His blue eyes were wide and crazed and his long brunette hair stuck to his face by the blood. He stood, his breaths coming out as ragged growls. âBlood for the LegionâŠâ He spoke in a low tone as he approached her. âFrank, please⊠youâre scaring me.â Julie backed her way against the hood of her car.Â
âSouls for the LegionâŠâ He looked to be in some kind of trance, his body swaying as he seemed to size her up. He made his way to her and pressed his body against hers. Julie reached up, taking his face into her hands. She was terrified but Frank was obviously in trouble, maybe he snapped up here- it would explain the deer, his behavior nowâŠ
âFrank, are you ok? Are you hurt?â She tried to see some sign within him that would tell her why he was out here eating an animal alive or even how heâd caught it with just a knife. âBodies for the LegionâŠâ He growled in her face like this chanting was some kind of twisted proclamation.Â
