Something There

Belle has never been happy with life in the small town of Memoire, always wanting more adventure and excitement than what the little town could supply. She’s spent her life seeking refuge in stories in books of fantasy and mystery, her mind being her only escape from the dreadful monotony of small town living. She’s a smart girl, completely able to take care of herself if she ever did get the courage to leave, but one thing keeps her tethered here; her father, Maurice. If she left, who would take care of him as he grew into old age? For now, she spends a lot of her time at the library, so much so that the owner eventually gave her a job as a librarian. She’d rather have her nose in a book, but it sure helps bring in some funding for her father’s wild inventions.
