quick thing !    flowers in the attic ( + series ) is not a romance. it’s about trauma and abuse and the results of those things. cathy and chris are not in love, they are not “cute” or “happy” they are severally damaged and stunted people who would need years of intense therapy to help them. please, stop romanticizing what happened to them.
