Teacher wants the work done only in cursive? Sure! Complain to someone who cares? You got it!

This story takes place ten plus years ago, back when I was a senior in high school. The new semester just started, and it was the first day in my new English class. The teacher, Mrs. Fruit (fake name for this story) was an older woman, probably close to retirement, and she was very old fashion with her rules and expectations for the class. Looking through it, it was nothing too extreme, except for one thing: “All written assignments must be written in cursive.”

One thing you need to know about me is that I suffer from a number of physical disabilities that affect my hands. I am unable to write legibly in print, and cursive is just out the window. Knowing this, all my other teachers allow me to type up any assignments and just print them out. I asked Mrs. Fruit if I could do this for her class, and she told me that would be acceptable.
