perhaps i'm ungrateful, but i wish my irls would see and truly acknowledge my alterhumanity more

i wish my friends would more often greet me by the name of a character that i am

i wish someone would see me sitting in a weird position and ask, "but aren't your wings uncomfortable right now?"

i wish my partner could run their fingers on the ridges of my horns and help me preen my wings and tell me how lovely they are

i wish my (close) friends would pet my head, and initiate a game of fetch without me having to be the one to awkwardly suggest it first

i wish my friends would ask about my thoughts on content/headcanons about my fictotypes, because they're trying to get a firsthand perspective from the character themselves, or that they'd ask me details about my canon because they're curious

I wish this stuff was a more casual, comfortable conversation topic between me and my friends rather than me feeling like i shouldn't be the one to acknowledge it or talk too much about it because it might weird them out or something
