OOC
I know that I've been really horrible about getting online lately, and I feel really horrible about that. I've just been overwhelmed by schoolwork. I'm hoping that I'll be able to give myself some time to RP this weekend.

Sorry I've been so absentee this week. I had a couple bad days when I didn't even want to get out of bed, let alone write, and I've been bogged down with homework. I have one more 5 page essay to knock out and then I'll be able to be online more.

I hope this isn't to personal to ask but which type of bipolar? My rp partner on twitter has type two bipolar and has a few other problems which I won't mention. And if you ever ever ever(!) need anyone I am here for you. <3
It's not too personal, I actually like talking about psych stuff (it's part of why I chose to RP a character who's a psychiatrist). I have type two. It used to be really severe, but in the last few years it typically manifests as one or two short hypomania's a month and a depressive period about once every other month.
I'm doing okay now, but thank you for the offer. I'll keep it in mind
ooc
hopefully this depressive swing will only last for a day or two, the way my hypomanias do. they've lasted for months in the past, though, so i really can't be sure
i'm suddenly remembering how my bipolar disorder basically forced me out of rping the last time i really got into it, about ten years ago. i don't want to see that happen again. i love running threads with you guys, and i love writing hanni.

The corners of John’s mouth curled devilishly at the mention of the final two of Hannibal’s vices. “A man after my own heart.. Well, I can at least say that for the wine and mind games. I’ll be honest, I’ve never tasted a victim in the literal sense.”
"You should come around for dinner sometime, then," Hannibal said lightly, trying to mask his surprise. It seemed that John actually believed him and wasn't bothered.
“I believe I do. Please make yourself at home while I fetch it.” Turning on his heel, he went to retrieve the wine. Once out of sight a mere snap of his fingers summoned a decent bottle and glasses, which he waited a moment to return with for show. Uncorking the bottle, he poured his guest a glass, then himself. “I hope it is satisfactory.”
Hannibal swirled the wine in the glass and took a small sip. "It's delicious," he said, taking another sip. "I don't recognize the vintage."

I have bounced into a depressive cycle. I may avoid angsty threads over the next few days until it passes, for my own mental well being.
I just woke up from a dream where some guy killed my cat and I retaliated by skinning him alive, cooked his skin into cracklings, and force fed it to him I think Hannibal is getting to me

it's almost two and i need to go to bed but i don't wanna

"It’s true. This species never really changes." He smiled, tilting his head at him. "Do you have any addictions, doctor? Surely you must."
Hannibal considered for a moment before answering. "A fair few," he admitted. "Fine wine, mind games, and cannibalism to name a few," he said with a smile. He wasn't sure if John had been serious about being a murderer. If he wasn't, he'd likely think that he was joking as well.
He took the offered hand in a firm grip, giving a friendly shake before releasing. “Can I offer you anything to drink, Hannibal? If you can name it, I most likely have it.”
"If you have any barbera around, a glass would be fabulous," Hannibal said.

He shrugged unapologetically. “It’s a bit of a habit that I can’t kick. I’m a bit of a slave to my addictions.” John smirked. “Not that I mind.”
"Humans are all slaves to their addictions," Hannibal said, "whether it be nicotine or alcohol or bad sitcoms. You might as well become addicted to something you truly enjoy."

Hannibal was walking down the busy hallway to Jack’s office, so wrapped in his own thoughts that he wasn’t paying attention to the people around him, when he felt a buzzing on his wrist. He looked down to see that his timer had run down to zero. He looked up to see a young woman standing a few feet in front of him.
"Hello," he said.
Clarice gave him a small nod as he spoke, her arm once again lacing with his before she responded “I suppise it does help toblove your job, makes it feel like less of a job.she said as they stepped out into the cool Quantico night air. When he asked if he could ask her a blunt question her mind raced a little but she chose to ignore that “Of course… You can ask me anything.”
As they walked toward the parking lot Hannibal considered his wording. “How old are you?” he finally asked. “I’m worried that the age gap between us will bother you. I’m forty-eight, probably old enough to be your father. It doesn’t bother me, but I would like to know.”
Clarice gave a small nod at his question, so she had not been the only one wondering about that. “Twenty Five…” She responded in a quiet tone of voice. He was almost twice her age, would that cause issues eventually? Not that it mattered of course, she’d never heard of soulmates who did not end up together. “Its… Admitedly a concern… It doesnt bother me but Id be lying if I said I wasnt worried that you might… Be put off by the age difference. I..” she paused for a moment, trying to figure out the best way to word her concern. “I dont want to been seen as a child… Thats a horrible way of putting it….”
"I am aware of the age difference," he said carefully, "but I in no way think of you as a child. You're a young woman. You're intelligent, polite, and beautiful," he winked down at her. "I don't know why we were paired together, but surely we must be a good match, despite the age gap." He stopped speaking, worried that if he were to go on he would put his foot in his mouth. Hopefully, he had relieved her fears.

“Ah, hello there. The name is Normandy, pleasure to meet you.”
"Hello Normandy," he said, extending a hand. "I'm Hannibal. It's a pleasure to meet you, as well."

"Hello," he said.
Clarice gave a smile and nodded up at Hannibal as the elevator door opened, releasing them in the lobby. “Id like that” She responded, the idea of sharing something with him obviously made her happy. “I did see that you have a very impressive practice.”
"I’ve been building it for a very long time, and I was fortunate enough to inherit most of the clientele of a retiring colleague early in my career," Hannibal said as they walked through the lobby. He dropped her arm and stepped ahead to open the door. "My lady," he said seriously, bowing his head.
Clarice’s eyes remained locked on his as he opened the door for her, his words making a slight boush creep up her neck but she tried to gain control of it before it went over her cheeks. “Thank you” She responded as she stepped through the door and waited for him on the other side. She wanted to ask him how long he’d been practicing, but she worried it would be too obvious that she was trying to calculate the age difference. Later, once they had gotten closer she would just ask. “That’s fortunate, I can imagine that is alot to juggle, your practice and working with Jack….”
Hannibal stepped through the door and offered Clarice his elbow again. "I suppose so, but I have grown used to it," he said. "It helps that I truly love my work. Helping people is one of my life's passions." He smiled down at her. "May I ask you a blunt question?"
