mewgagotokuâ:
Laughing softly, Makoto pulled away to look up at Kiryu. He was so strong, and yet ever gentle, even if it seemed like sometimes he wasnât entirely sure what to make of her. Settling onto the couch beside him, she found his left hand and threaded her fingers into the gaps between his own.
âYouâve been so kind to me⊠always.â The past couple of months getting to know Kiryu had been both delightful and unexpected â she had never met anybody quite like him, and she couldnât believe theyâd lost the last twenty years of knowing one another when they got along so well. Then again, if some of the stories sheâd managed to tease out of him were to be believed, perhaps that was for the best.
âDo you think⊠we can make this work?â Idly, she found herself tracing small scars on the backs of his hands, calloused knuckles which spoke of how he had fought so hard to come as far as he had. She had initially thought of them as polar opposites, but really, they had a lot in common â not least of all how neither of them seemed to be able to keep from smiling at one another. âIf, I mean, that is-.â Second guessing, always second guessing. âIf thatâs what you want.â
Kiryuâs focus remained on the other and her movements as he felt the other entangle her hand in his left hand. The smile on his features remained towards her for the current time being.Â
âOf course. Itâs who I am and what everyone deserves.â He stated, thinking back to the period they had spent together so far. He also had the strong urge and addiction to be affectionate towards her, not doing so to the extreme felt like an agony. He wished things could of been different.Â
In response to the otherâs words, he briefly pressed his lips against hers and then nuzzled his nose against hers. âIt may not be easy, but I believe so and that is what I want. Do you want that as well?â
