I don’t really like when people portray Woodrow as suicidal, because they’re really the opposite of that. They’re willing to horribly maim themself and lose all of their humanity to stay alive and not suffer. While both have the same end goal and are destructive, those are very different things, even if both ended up with the same result.

as any sane dont starve fan does i spend about 2 hours checking character quotes and i have some fun ones ,but this time im going to talk about the "Broken AAC Device"

Most of the quotes are fairly straightforward , most characters dont know what it its in the first place or point out its broken (or both!). where things get interesting its when we see some more specific quotes of characters that KNOW what is used for :

Both WX and Wagstaff point out that its broken because its missing a specific piece (NEEEEEERRRDS)

Wilson says "Someone lost their words" Wich implies he knows what it is even though he is an Edwardian alquimist (People that HC Wilson as autistic are gonna love this one i can already tell)

Maxwell does a snarky remark "Its not comunicating with anyone now", Same question , no real explanation of how he knows what it is , at least you could argue that Wilson its more in line with science so he is more justified to know

I hc that Webber is actually his last name, the child's first name is Filib (basically the Scottish variant of Phillip). He took up the last name to represent himself after the whole. Spider thing. Webber as a last name is for weavers or people who did spun cloth iirc. :}

that's a fun hc ngl, my view is that she's fought so much that it's like became a bit of who she is because of the number of times she's hit her head, she might be a little on the sillier side. like she can drop it kinda but it really has changed who she really is. also, she does part of the role in the opera (no duh that part is the canon), but also like SOME of the Valkyrie in the Volsung saga (where the opera Die Walküre's plot comes from in Norse mythology)

some i say because the opera's interpretation is a wee bit different than the saga's

The webber talk gave me an idea of Webber and Maxwell in the ruins or smth and the nightmare phase starts and Webber just deadass picks him up and starts running. Maxwell is like "????" Confused as to how a kid just picked him up like a fucking twig and Webber is just "Lighter than half the stuff back at home." Or smth like that. Just Webber picking people up when hugging them or smth and it surprises them.

buuuuut i have this little running joke with my friend that we just call the characters by their name and game (i picked this habit up from TF2 i just called Heavy , Heavy tf2)

So i just call the characters like that or i just add something stupid like calling Webber :Webber P. Spider

Hello Winona nation!!

Shyly coming up here to share a headcanon of mine - that Winona is dyslexic

She seems to struggle somewhat with directions and dislikes reading (judging by her quotes for most of Wicker's books) and she has a talent for designing and building things

This headcanon is actually based off of my dad, who shares a lot of the same traits :)
