I don't really come by here often, but today I need the support of fellow Cumberbitches to help prove to a friend that he is wrong. 

He believes that the world thinks RDJ is the best Sherlock Holmes. He believes Benedicts cheek bones are ugly. He believes the Hobbit was better than Sherlock, because Benedict's face wasn't on screen! 

So if anyone could do me the curtsy of telling him he is wrong, reblog this, favourite this, do whatever it is you think is right - But he shouldn't think Cumberbitches are in the minority. 

And most importantly, he shouldn't think those cheek bones are ugly!

I'm no expert on feminism, and I know the word itself is held badly in society but I think the misconceptions on feminism have to end.

And I know the misconceptions regarding feminism is with men, a lot of us treat it like a joke. And thats wrong.

But is this man calling women a bitch when she gets angry? Is this man supportive of trans women? Are these men recognizing that women look different than models? Are these men understanding that women and men aren’t the only genders? Do these men understand anything about feminism at all? Or are they just tryna score women??? Do these men still fetish WOC????

No, yes, yes, yes, I’m no expert, no and to be honest I am not entirely sure on what the final question is, but is it wrong for a man to want gender equality? 

Is it wrong for a man to support women, and as you mentioned trans women, in their hunt for equality? 

Where it matters, men, women and the rest, are all the same. We all have hearts, we all have brains, we all have the capacity to think, and feel, and love and dream and feel hurt and be hurt - So why are you making it sound like men don’t care, that I don’t care, about equality

What do you think guys SHOULD do to show their support then? Because the minute guys start making speeches about feminism, is the exact same minute where feminists start getting angry that there is a guy speaking for them.

I want to support my female friends. I want to support any future daughter I might have, and I want to support my mother, and grandmother and aunt.

That #heforshe hashtag shit is stupid, why does it seem like it caters to us men? Its for those that are more concerned with “looking good” than actually doing something. The type of men that are more concerned with why they cant call themselves feminist than actually doing shit like making safe spaces for women. That shit is for men like joss whedon, or men that like to high five themselves, for being a “good guy” a “nice guy”.

For someone that calls himself the “ultraintrovert” - Your thoughts are quite extroverted. 

If you don’t want to do anything for equality, except complain about its latest movement, then don’t do anything.

I’m not a “looking good” type of guy, and I am certainly not a good looking guy or the type of guy that likes to high five himself. I’m the type of guy that believes no matter who you are, no matter what race, ethnicity, gender or orientation, you should have equal rights.

But if you just want to sit around and belittle something that has the power to change, then you do that and become part of the problem. 

But who cares, right? I mean its only equality.

You missed the point. the #heforshe hashtag may have good intentions for solidarity, but it praises us men for basic human decency, and convinces many of us that were contributing to feminism cause ~we like women~. that shit is weak, and I dont see how it lays the first step for a man who is uneducated on feminism, to begin making safe spaces for women so we all can have equality. I mean thats the point of feminism right?

Obviously we should be supportive of each other, and treat each other with basic human decency, but in case you didn't notice - People don't do that.

Sad news is most men don't give a shit about gender equality, hell there are probably women out there that don't care either, but that doesn't mean the #HeForShe campaign is totally idiotic. 

Yes, it is flawed.

Yes, it shouldn't be trying to put men at the center of feminism.

But it isn't the enemy. What it wants is right, even if its approach is wayward.

I can't think of the last time a movement got so much support, and so much publicity. 

I think we got off on the wrong foot, and I apologize if I misinterpreted what you meant.
