Platonic love is so underrated. Yet sometimes in the name of pseudo-feminism it is overrated. Which by that I mean, folks purposely ostracizing their partners to prove they are not a bird or pick me makes me sad. You should love your male partners if that is how you feel.
If that person turns out to not be your match that is not embarrassing for you it is embarrassing for them!
But back to my point. Friendships are so beautiful. Love for my friends (or the ones I could have) is so deep and soul enriching in such an airy way. Romantic love feels like honey. My love for my friends feels like a strong grasp twirling in wind on a hill in a beautiful valley falling into flowers. It feels like running away together from a house playing ding dong ditch. It's exhilarating having deep close friendships.
The issue is, is I don't know how I've made the magic I've made with my best friend over again with local people or even old friends. I feel like sometimes something is wrong with me and other times I just don't feel like anyone likes or cares about me enough. I'm quite boring. Which is fine with me. But when I talk to other people they don't seem to be that interesting either (objectively) they're just human like me and yet we feel like aliens to each other.
Hmm.
