Why Influenster rocks!

I have been part of the Influenster community since September 2012 and in that time I have been given the opportunity to test so many awesome products.  I have been put on to some products that I currently purchase just from being able to sample them from Influenster.  My most recent VoxBox was from Victoria's Secret!  I mean, seriously, a FREE VS Sports bra and pants??  Just for doing what I do best .. sharing my opinion!  The site is fairly easy to use and navigate around and it's one of the few places where you get rewarded for your opinion!  Not only do you get to sample awesome products but you get the opportunity to earn MORE freebies by completing bonus activities!  On one particular campaign, I was testing out a Rimmel BB cream .. so not only did I get that for free to try .. Gillette Venus Snap with Embrace

So I am in the process of testing a FREE Venus Snap razor and I must admit the concept is pretty unique.  I am one to carry around a full size razor all summer in case I see a missed spot on my legs.  Now thanks to Venus and Influenster I got to test out an awesome new product.  This razor delivers the same smoothness and close shave as a regular full size Venus razor yet is compact enough to carry around in a cute travel case in your purse.  This is a summer essential for all of the ladies out there!  Thanks for letting me get to try such a clever product!

Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation

I got to try this new foundation before it hits shelves in January 2014 compliments of both Influenster and Rimmel.  I must say that I am pretty picky when it comes to foundations and coverage.  I was honestly pretty impressed with this product.  I think it provides great, lightweight coverage.  I've applied it many times around 7am and found that when I washed off my makeup in the evening it still had good coverage.  I'm not big on makeup brushes for foundation so I just applied a pea sized amount onto my face with my fingers and blended.  I did use a powder with a brush after applying to help seal the foundation.  All in all, I was impressed with this product because I have used some pricey Amazonian Clay foundations and got very similar results with this product.  Thanks for letting me test this one out!

Schick Hydro Silk Razor

How many times have you shaved your legs and wondered if your razor even had blades anymore?  I am so sick and tired of wasting countless hours shaving my legs only to feel as if they need to be re-shaved later in the day.

However, all this is about to change!  Thanks for BzzAgent for sending my the Schick Hydro Silk razor for free!  It really is such an amazing product.  For once I can say that I am completely satisfied with the way my legs feel after shaving.  This razor not only delivers the closest shave but it leaves your skin feeling hydrated and nourished!  There is a moisturizing serum strip above that blades, you can thank that little feature for adding to your best shave yet!

Glade Expressions Collection

If you haven't sampled this new Glade Expressions Collection, pick it up next time you are out!  I love these products.  I received coupons for a complimentary spray and oil diffuser from BzzAgent and I can't thank them enough for introducing me to these products. 

I have three cats and two litter boxes and my home still smells fresh and clean.  I used to never use any air fresheners because they all smelt so artificial and the smells gave me a headache or the scent never lasted, that's not the case with these Glade Expressions!

NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine

I'm totally loving this lipshine!  I'll be honest, I never buy NYC make up.  BUT, I received a free lipshine in my Holiday VoxBox from Influenster and honestly I was really impressed with this product!  You can snag one of these for less than $3!  

I expected it to be really sticky, and it wasn't!  Plus, it comes in a few really pretty colors I might have to pick up next time I have some extra bucks from CVS!  I received the color in Nude York City (clever name, I know!) and it is a really pretty, shear nude.  I love that it's really glossy.

Goody Quikstyle .. is GREAT!

In my Influenster Holiday VoxBox I recieved a FREE Goody Quikstyle Paddle Brush which was awesome because I had been contemplating buying one for a few weeks.  At first I was a little hesitant because I know the brush has microfiber pieces in between the bristles, I figured the brush was going to be hard to maintain or get a moldy smell.  But that was totally wrong!  This brush really reduces drying time which is perfect for people like me who are constantly running late!  And all I do is run the blow dryer over the brush for a minute after I am done using it and it's dry and good as new.

I've seen the brush before at CVS for like $13, so next time you have all those Extra Bucks pick up one of these .. or just pick one up because it just might be your new essential styling tool.

Kiss Nail Dress - Manicures at Ease!

Let's face it - being a female requires a lot of upkeep.  Upkeep costs money!  I spend more than I would like to every other week to get my nails done at the salon.  Then once summer starts, add pedicures into that cost of upkeep.  Have no fear, Kiss Nail Dress is here!  I don't really use this product on my nails often, but on my toenails, that's another story!

How many times have you randomly looked down and wondered how your toenail polish chipped off?  It happens to me all the time!  And it's so annoying.  I am currently using Kiss Nail dress on my two big toes (little toes painted bright colors).  I have literally changed the polish twice on my other toes and have had to do NO maintenance to my big toes.  This product works!  No peeling or lifting and after at least still three weeks it is still intact and looks like it was just applied.

I mean for under $7 - you can't go wrong.  And for those ladies, like myself, that constantly shop the beauty section of CVS know that have awesome sales where certain products go 50% or 75% off.  I've picked up discontinued patterns of Kiss Nail Dress for like $2 - so if you are skeptical about testing it out, wait until you can pick them up on sale!

EBOOST Natural Energy

So included in my Influenster Holiday VoxBox '12 was a packet of EBOOST.  To be honest - I had never heard of it before.  I'm not too keen on trying things that I have never heard of before so I checked out their website - www.eboost.com

EBOOST is ACTUALLY good for you!  Which definitely made me want to try it.  I'm so grateful to receive free goodies from Influenster I just wish I didn't get the EBOOST in  the pink lemonade flavor.  I don't really like lemonade period so it makes sense I wasn't crazy about the flavor.

EBOOST is packed with vitamins like B-12, C and D - among many more.  I'm not huge in to health and things of that nature, but anything that stimulates my mind to get moving is a good product in my mind!

What I like about EBOOST is that it's not some little energy shot that you take and you have no idea what it'll do to you down the road.  It's sold at trusted retailers like Whole Foods and Vitamin Shoppe.  

This would probably be a great product for those who are big on working out too.  From the looks of the site Jillian Michaels appears to endorse this product and she is a health guru.  The cost also is pretty average and if you sign up on the EBOOST website you receive an instant $5 credit on top of the specials they are running.

Definitely worth looking in to!

Influenster Holiday VoxBox '12

So I just received my THIRD complimentary VoxBox from Influenster!  Woohoo! This particular one was exciting because there was a variety of fun things inside.  I really tried so hard to stay off their Facebook page until I got my box because I wanted to be surprised but I couldn't help it and I peeked!  I'm going to hold off on looking next time I get a box!  My Holiday VoxBox actually came on Christmas Eve - so what a treat that was!

There were SIX free products in my box!  That's amazing!

1. Goody Quikstyle Paddle Brush - I was so excited that this brush was in there because I was eyeing it at CVS for a while.  I was a little skeptical to buy it because it was like $13 and seeing that there are microfiber pieces in the brush I was worried it would be hard to maintain or that it would get moldy.  This brush definitely helps to reduce drying time which is really helpful for someone like me who is always running late!  After I finish drying my hair I just dry the brush off with the blow dryer for a minute and then I don't have to worry about letting it sit around damp. Great product, pick one up!

2. Quaker Real Medleys - I never have liked oatmeal and haven't tried it in years but lately have been trying to eat healthier since I'm a vegetarian and don't have the best diet.  One can't live healthy on candy and chips!  I never really eat breakfast because I never have time in the morning aside from a granola bar every now and then but these are perfect because they are individually packaged for those on the go.  I received the Cherry Pistachio once but definitely want to pick up the Peach Almond one!  Plus it's filling and good for you. 

3. EBOOST - Maybe it was the Pink Lemonade flavor that I didn't love but I really didn't like how this tasted.  It gave me a little boost but from years of coffee and Red Bull drinking I think I built up an immunity to it all.  My next test will be to cut it off cold turkey for two weeks so maybe once I pick up the habit again I might actually be drinking coffee for something but flavor.  This EBOOST product comes in other flavors if you were considering testing it out.

4. NYC Liquid Lipshine - For a really inexpensive lip gloss, this one is pretty good.  It's not sticky and it's very glossy.  I received it in Nude York City which is a really pretty nude but lately I have been trying to wear a little more color like raspberries.  However, I checked on their website and I might pick up the Fashion Avenue Fuchsia color!  Looks great and for under $3 you can't go wrong!

5. Kiss Nail Dress - I haven't tried the one I received in my VoxBox yet, but I actually have used this product before and I really like them.  For a while I was only getting gel manicures so I didn't want to apply these over my gel after I paid to get my nails done so I actually was using them on my toes!  I hate that my polish always chips off on my toes when I paint them myself but I swear this last forever!  I actually currently have them on my two big toes in a zebra print and I painted my other toes Tiffany box turquoise.  I was pressed for time so I didn't have time to cut them to fit my other toes.  But they are easy to apply and they really do hold up.

6. Sole Society $25 coupon - I checked out the website as I had never visited it before even though I am pretty sure I have heard of it before.  There are a lot of cute shoes on here!  I love the idea that shipping is free and so are the returns.  However, I am one that likes to go out and shop and try things on for myself.  I probably won't order anything from this website but I have a friend that will definitely take advantage of this promo!  

On a side note, I didn't receive the Montagne Juenesse mask but I did pick one up at CVS myself just to try it out.  I got one that said it was for detox and anti-stress but I didn't feel any calmer after using it.  My face did however feel clean and soft.  The mask was on clearance for like 50 cents!  I like that they are packaged for individual use because I am the type of person that will buy a full size mask and end up using it like two times and it ends up being a waste of product and money!

All in all - very impressed with the contents of the box!

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!

Whoever said "Diamonds are a girl's best friend" - certainly never had the right pair of shoes.  Heels, wedges, flats, boots .. oh my!  I must admit I am addicted to boots, I don't care how smoldering it is outside, I'll wear them in the summer.  Leather, suede, I'll take them all!

Included in my Holiday VoxBox from Influenster was a coupon for a website called Sole Society (www.solesociety.com).  The offer was for $25.00 off my purchase, which is definitely a nice chunk of savings seeing that most of the shoes are roughly priced from $50-$80.

I'm trying to use all my will power to not give in and buy a pair because I have more shoes than I will ever be able to wear.  Not to mention a BRAND NEW paid of Christian Louboutin's that still haven't made their way out of the box.  I'm sick, I know.

Also, my feet are a little funny sometimes - shoes ranging from 8 1/2 - 9 1/2 - however on the plus side Sole Society offers free shipping AND returns.

But anyone that is in need of cute, trendy, stylish shoes definitely should give this site a shot.  There were several pairs I saw that I really liked - still shying away from because they are giant heels and being 5'8" I don't like towering over everyone.  So unless guys start growing, I'm sticking to my flat boots ..

My Experience With Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips

I've been a loyal user of Crest products since I can remember learning how to brush my own teeth.  From toothbrushes to toothpaste, I use it all.  But I never tried their 3D White Professional Effects Strips until I received them complimentary from this awesome company Influenster (if you don't know what that is, figure it out! -- www.influenster.com)

I've never had any of those fancy bleaching treatments from the dentist, you know the ones with lasers and all that other high-end technology?  The ones that run you $500 and up?  I have however, had bleaching trays molded to fit my upper and lower teeth and used those with professional grade bleach from my dentist.  However, I didn't use it too long, the trays were uncomfortable and didn't lock in tight in my mouth which just made me feel as if all that bleach was seeping out through the trays which made me scared to swallow! And that cost me over $200!

So recently I signed up to be part of this awesome community called Influenster.  If you haven't heard of it, look into it at www.influenster.com

They have these things called a VoxBox .. clearly I had no idea what this was prior to joining.  But they team up with awesome companies and let you test products .. for FREE!
