Ivy does not beg for food like most dogs/canines do. She was hardly ever given enough to survive and the people watching her rarely ate in front of the subjects because one of her fellow lab rats got incredibly aggressive about it. She doesn’t like being let down with the promise of food and begging for scraps. She’ll eat when she’s fed and will otherwise ignore the urge to eat unless she’s absolutely starving. Like stomach trying to eat itself starving.

If she is on a regular diet, she might ask to try something she’s never had before, but staring down and begging isnt the way she’ll go about it. The only time she’ll watch someone eat is simply to see how it’s supposed to be eaten (fork, spoon, with your hands), but it’s less about the contents and more so as not to embarrass herself or whoever she’s with.
