After leaving Loch Ness we began the journey back to Edinburgh passing through Aviemore before stopping for lunch in Pitlochry.

The morning after our late night out in Inverness we took the advice we got from some locals and headed down Dores beach for a good look at Loch Ness.

We made it to Inverness and went for a walk to enjoy the beautiful day. We found a nice bridge that Sydney decided to pretend to be a troll under. I thought it was pretty funny but the lady walking across the bridge did not appreciate being yelled at that she needed to pay the troll toll.

After a long wet day we tucked into a giant plate of langoustines. They were a bit tricky to eat but really hit the spot. We also ate some pretty amazing scallops and salmon. The haggis we tried was not so good but we had to try it and now I never have to eat it again.

From Portree we headed past the Old Man of Storr but it kept raining on and off so we didn’t do much hiking.

We started out by heading towards the Fairy Pools but we had to make a few stops on the way.

We got to Skye in the evening and after sampling quite a few of the local brews we called it a day. The next morning we dragged ourselves out of bed and began exploring Skye.
