Not exactly Blender, but I’m making progress on the Duke model. This will eventually move into blender for rigging and posing. But for now I’m stuck on the proportions. Something about the shoulders and legs feel off. Open to feedback

Re-making Duke again for a Blender rig. I’m stuck on the head again and am in need of some feedback. I like how the head shape is coming along. But I feel like there’s something that’s off with how the eyes look and potentially the nose being too narrow compared to the references I’m using. What do you think?

Next update in my Blender adventure, rigging. This guy is just a base model I pulled from Nomad sculpt and set up with a basic rig. After the bird tutorial, I wanted to see if I could make a rig on my own given what I learned. It did not take long to realize that I was out of my depth.

I tried 2 times to figure it out on my own and I hit a brick wall. So I went through a mixture of tutorials from Skillshare and Youtube until I built up a workflow to get a fully rigged character. I learned a lot about the process like Inverse Kinematics, bone positioning, and weight painting.

While I did run into several problems to get here, I enjoyed learning how the bones and constraints interact with each other and now rigging doesn't seem as scary anymore. Plus, this section helped me understand how I need to set up my models in the future. I think I'll try materials and texture shading next, but so far. This has been my most fun, and satisfying learning experience on this journey.
