I JUST WATCHED THE THIRD MOVIE—

don ‘ t read below if you don’t want minor spoilers , please !

i have so many things to say about it . some positive , some blehh . but i wont ruin it for people bc thats not okay in any circumstance . my only major gripe is that i ‘ m pretty sure the trailers hyped hades up as the main villain ( or at the very least made it seem like he had a larger role to play in the grand scheme of things ) and then only gave him like . . . what , three or so scenes of screen time ? why ‘ d they do that to my home skillet biscuit ?! MY BOY DID NOT GET HIS MOMENT , HADES IS MY FAVORITE DISNEY VILLAIN , WHY ????? ALSO that lil revelation about hades and maleficent . . . yeeeeeah . i can ‘ t say i dislike it , but as soon as mal tells the WORLD - apphia being included in that sense bc i can ‘ t see hades being very vocal about his old flames - that hades is also HER father , apphia is going to have a fuckton of mixed feelings about this whole thing . like “ why didn ‘ t anybody tell me about this ? “ and “ people preaching about faith and trust n crap and i can ‘ t even rely on family members who aren ‘ t aeron to be truthful with me , so why should i bother answering to them ? “

i ‘ m going to have to tweak my backstory and maaaaybe make some adjustments because i have SO many thoughts on how all of this went down but on the other hand i think it ‘ s sort of cool that aph has another sibling . just as long as mal doesn ‘ t try to be miss bossy pants over her , that is . LOL . i don ‘ t know . this was all SO much , you guys . SO much .

plus it makes me want to be more active here and plot with all you guys more ! bc honestly for all its flaws , this series makes me so happy and the people i have talked to in this community are all very lovely ! i want to write more wholesome and creepy dementor daughter content , and i want to forge bonds with AKs and VKs alike , and just dammit . i am hype again .

Here’s something that I don’t think a lot of people get about ocs. Forgive me, it’s a rant. A LOT OF PEOPLE DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH WORK IT TAKES TO MAKE AN OC. It’s honestly like writing a book? It’s having a character and making that character fit into either an already pre-established world or MAKING THEIR OWN FROM FUCKING SCRATCH. Both are INSANELY difficult. Because with both, there is a pressure to ‘be authentic’, to ‘not be mary/gary sue’ and to ‘keep things interesting’. There’s a lot of authentic material to keep track of that is entirely made by the writer. Family. Extended family. Friends. NPCs, all of those people, they’re all made by one single person. The fact that you think that OCS could be inferior is mind boggling to me? People also don’t really realize that even canon characters are someone’s oc. I understand, I play canon characters too. I get it. I know that shit’s hard too, but imagine having to keep up with the current shit YOU’VE got and constantly be putting out more? It takes a lot. And most people are looking for men when they see ocs, so females DO get treated more badly. Tumblr really reflects society in that way. It sucks. But please, REMEMBER HOW HARD IT IS TO MAKE AN OC. If you hate them, maybe try making one yourself. See things through the other person’s perspective. And please remember, SO LONG AS YOU AREN’T HURTING ANYONE AND HAVING FUN, IT SHOULDN’T MATTER ANYWAY. If after you’ve taken everything into consideration and still hate ocs, great. Don’t follow them. Don’t send them hate, either. This shouldn’t be hard.

Such a smartass. It was a true wonder that nobody outside their circle had called her out on the back-sass that often tumbled forth from her lips. Apphia wasn’t ALWAYS this snarky when it came to the forbidden such as this, but this scene had F-U-N written aaaaall over it. And she was DETERMINED to experience the meaning of that word here and now.
