me: another night of not being able to sleep, i should do something productive... me, five minutes later: *walks into three walls while going to the bathroom which is literally the door next to my bedroom door* me: i’ll try the productive thing tomorrow then...

          lately alex had refocused her attention on her work. things had settled down and she could attribute that to being more comfortable with who she was as a person outwith the uniform and her relationship with maggie. thankfully, the two were both comfortable and professional enough to mix both personal and work life when the situation called for it.

          and this called for it.

          they had been working the alien fight ring again after following up on rumours that it was back, which ultimately led to the two women once again engaging in combat with those that didn’t appreciate their little visit. 

          with her back to maggie’s, alex watched with an unmatched intensity as she analysed the surrounding area. then, without warning her partner, alex dived forward and grabbed a discarded gun while kicking her foot out at an opponents leg. she then raised the weapon and shot the person that had approached the ccpd detective from behind.

          “you’re welcome,” alex grinned as she dropped the gun and placed both hands upon her thighs, her lungs working overtime to regain the oxygen that she had lost during the fight.

                     when zari put the criminal down, knocked him out thanks to her amulet, she sighed “job done, i guess. still not comfortable with this outfit though” 

          just as zari downed her target, alex swung the pole that she had been using to defend herself and smacked it across the face of her own. he stumbled momentarily before passing out. “it looks cool, though,” alex pointed out, breathing heavily as she made her way over to the legend.

i’m gonna reboot leah since i don’t know what to do with her now that her sister is no longer here, so does anyone want a connection to a virginia gardner fc? like maybe a guardian role, oc teen sister or anything like that ??

as the sam arias anon on the main pointed out, i’ve been sorely lacking activity on some of my characters but i swear my activity is gonna go back to normal as soon as i’m well again. or, well... ish. i haven’t slept without the aide of sleeping pills for two months now and i think my stomach bug is now a virus because I’M NOT ALIVE RN -- anyway, i’m gonna try and do some stuff on the inactive ones tomorrow because i’m praying that i’m gonna pass out any second now

          “a game?” alex lifted her hand and used the back of it to wipe away any remnants of beer on her lips after taking a long gulp. “i’m terrible at reading people,” she laughed. for someone being a top secret agent, she really did falter when it came to reading these kind of social things. ”but okay. you choose first, though.”
