best dw side character tournament (major character version)
This tournament is to determine the best major side character in Doctor Who—ie, any character who doesn't quite rank as a companion or villa
this submission form will be open until a week from now, 8/18/2023.
this bracket is for MAJOR side characters (your Jackie Tylers, Kate Stewarts, and Madame Vastras). see this link to nominate more minor side characters!
just want to mention that for a character to be a **major** side character, they have to have ongoing presence within the show, essentially be in the stable of the doctor's friends/family/allies/reoccurring pains in the neck—ie, if they're just in one episode and that's it, and don't keep coming back or having some insane influence on events, I'll kick them to the minor side characters bracket.

I want to submit Hath Peck (the hath from the Doctor's daughter who died trying to cross the surface with Martha) as a minor side character, but he technically doesn't meet the rule for two speaking lines, would you please make an exception for side characters who literally cannot speak for wahtever reason

which would be better?

one big tournament, with absolutely everyone all fighting it out together? (I would still seed it as best I could to give everyone a chance)
i was inclined toward the big tournament until it occurred to me it doesn't really give the little guys a fighting chance—but it would also probably make for a more popular tournament overall, if the big guns were swinging in it, too.
