Thoughts might be the same, but grudges are not released that easily. She perceived, internally surprised, the other’s change of attitude. From selfish ranting to oblivious agreement? Weird for a man in power of a quite powerful artifact, or so it seemed to be. If she held such power, her manner wouldn’t quiver like that, or so she thought. As well, the man might have spoken words of truth. If that was, did it mean she should tone down her words as well? As if. Anyone powerful is to be mistrusted if one is to survive No matter the hints, she had to choose her words carefully.
”I wouldn’t be surprised if I found out the shame others of their own for different motives. When it comes to them, you can expect anything.″ And she had seen some of it; harmful and pointless cruelty. Why do animals of such nature top the pyramid? Why do they exist? Even the aggressor in front is a victim, be or not in the least likely way. For their capacity, no limit seemed to exist. ”It was, but I thought you were exiled from a worse place to want to get this scourge of a planet. I couldn’t believe for a second that someone would want to come here, even though the reasons are clear to me now.″ Was that apprehensive enough? Her idea must’ve been clear: this place is unlikely, with all the humans around… …humans.
”… I had a strange thought,″ she started, placing her hands on her hips. ”If you have these powers, and this crystal, you and your people must be more powerful than all of them. They can’t overpower you! It, it just doesn’t fit,″ at this time, she sounded more confused than aggressive, as it might have seemed at the beginning. ”You were out there, and the humans are here, weak and sure nothing can outdo them. Unless these powers developed in exile, there’s no other way you could’ve been banished from here, can it?″ If the second case was true, she would know to which extent humans held their collective power.
▉▉▉♛— True, one could never fully trust a human, he knew first hand that they were evil, merciless creatures down to their very core and even their very presence polluted this planet of all its purity. Still, he couldn’t help but cock an eyebrow at her in surprise once she made her disdain for this Earth known as well. It was one thing to hate the beings that inhabited but actually harboring hatred for such a beautiful planet full of lush greenery, fresh air, blue skies and water as clear as the naked eye could see? Was she MAD!? Did she truly not realize how good she had it and that he and his people would literally KILL to be back on such exquisite land? Compared to Nemesis, this planet was pretty much Heaven on Earth to them and he seriously could not comprehend or fathom anyone not appreciating it! Perhaps the old adage that you take for granted that which you have applies here and all who still had the good fortune to reside on this blue planet had no qualms insulting it, for they never knew anything worse.
❝ I’d have to disagree, though the humans that inhabit this Earth are truly the ugliest of creatures, this planet itself is not! Are you so blind that you cannot see the beauty of life that surrounds you?! Green, far as the eye can see, soil so rich that any and all plants and flowers can grow! Natural food in abundance, air so fresh it refreshes your very lungs, the light of the Sun always shining down! No, this planet is a thing of beauty and that is precisely WHY it cannot remain in the hands of those pitiful humans! You would kiss the ground you walk on on this Earth if you ever experienced even half a DAY on the treacherous planet me and my people were exiled to!❞
Speaking of, there was that question he was waiting for, he imagined it would come up sooner or later once she knew of his circumstances. The only problem was, how exactly could he explain to one from the 20th Century that he was actually from the future and in the future this beautiful, blue planet would unfortunately succumb to the rule of foreign alien beings from the Moon! Would she even believe such folly, primitive 20th Century denizen that she was? How would this effect the flow of time and space if a regular civilian knew of the future? Then again, was it not his clan’s mission in the first place to overwrite history so such a future could be prevented?
To hell with Pluto and her laws of Time, she does not rule over me! Besides, the people of the past have a right to know the tyranny that will soon befall them!
❝Clever girl, you are correct. If it had just been the humans they would have never been able to banish my kind in a million years! But who said this planet would still be under the control of humans in years to come? And who said we were even banished during this time period in the first place?~❞ He turned to face the girl, a dark, wry smile etched onto his face beckoning her to catch on as to what he was implying.
