Jinx shrugged as they reached the entryway. “I guess you could say that.” As soon as they had crossed the threshold, an overwhelming spell of sweat and alcohol hit them causing the red head to grow cautious. She never really felt comfortable in these places, but she would do this for her friend. 

"Alright, where to?"

She giggled as they entered the building, causing D to have to speak up due to the loud thump of the music. "⌐ I hope so," she nearly shouted. The bitter scents of the club's interior filled her lungs.

Her eyes searched around the busy venue, looking for some sort of open space for them to occupy and hopefully not be disturbed by strangers. "How about over there? ¬" She pointed to a lounge area off to the left of the entrance where they stood.

The feeling of being studied wasn’t new to Beyond at all therefore he did all he could to make sure he was unreadable. It wasn’t a hard thing to achieve. At this point, both of the orphans were trying to dismantle each other’s movements and thoughts and with little success. Perhaps the game was getting old. “Am I?” He looked up. His words suggested surprise although his tone gave no hint of it. One question lingered above the others and, never being one to hold back when answers may be available, Beyond asked. “I  must ask, how do they know of me?” He paused to take another drink, his gaze unletting. “I assme you recognised me from our childhood however I don’t recall socializing or introducing myself to any of the others. I find it improbable that they would recognize me upon appearence.”

She was contemplating a response, though a yawn fell out of her mouth before any words did. She wondered how she could make her answer seem logical and not made-up. The intention was not to sound like she had any way of telling the others about him. She wouldn't, of course--she wasn't that deceptive. "Yes, actually. Well, possibly only a couple of them," she added, one eyebrow raised and a smug smirk forming on her face. "Just because you never talked to any of the others doesn't mean they never knew who you were. Some kids I knew there had photographic memories. They could recognize you even through the disguises, on security cameras and such."

5. Falling asleep

D’s eyes blinked open, the new light in the room rousing her from sleep. Everything was blurry—she could only make out an obnoxious light source from the ceiling and a blurry figure in the doorway. “⌐ Hm? ¬” was all she could muster.

"Agreed. Of course, depending on one certain way of doing things is never healthy."

"⌐ Oh, I know, right?" She grimaced down at her warm mug. "It's like only having one flu shot available for one type of the flu, and there's no way to prevent catching another strand of it. If that even makes sense. ¬"
