Assigning the Segments video games I think they'd enjoy!
8 - Animal Crossing, or any other game similar to Animal Crossing, just something simple with cute creatures! :)
18 - Dark Souls, Elden Ring, or any other dark and difficult game. he thinks he's 'too grown up' for anything else. (but he isn't actually good at hard games)
25 - Team Fortress 2, he's a Medic main
35 - he thinks he's far too mature for video games but if you give him something with depth and mature topics, such as Silent Hill, he'll certainly be interested
45 - Baldur's Gate 3 or other RPGs, maybe an MMO if it doesn't require interacting with other players a lot. He'd rather spend his time immersed in a fantasy world than talking to others
65 - anything in the realm of 'casual cozy game', he just wants to relax and enjoy something he can easily pick up or put down at any moment - he especially loves puzzle games!
85 - he'd rather just do sudoku or a crossword. but if he ever gets his hands on something like SimCity he will have to be dragged away from it
Zandik is a lonely nerdy NEET who once aspired to be a doctor, but gave up due to mental health struggles. Stuck living with his parents who are deeply disappointed in him, he spends all day in his bedroom.
Eventually, they start demanding he goes outside and finds something to do with himself. So, he downloads a dating app, hoping he'll find some people willing to take him out and cover the costs of a nice night out for him.
This instead leads to him meeting Feofan, a wealthy banker overwhelmed with loneliness, his anger issues often pushing friends away. Despite all his money and all his hard work, he never feels truly happy or satisfied with his life.
Despite both meeting up for quite simple reasons - Zandik trying to appease his parents (and save some money), Feofan trying to briefly fill the void of friendship (regardless of how much it costs) - they end up being the only people who truly understand each other.
After a while of dating, Zandik moves into Feofan's house and, with his love and support, finally begins to improve his mental health, eventually working on pursuing his discarded dream.
Idea: Lesbian Dottolone/Panttore but they're each other's lesbian awakening...
I'll write it under the cut since it's quite a bit of text!
(She/her pronouns for Dottore, he/him pronouns for Pantalone)
Dottore never had any crushes. She never had an interest in romantic relationships, always struggled to imagine herself settling down whenever her peers mentioned the idea to her. In her youth, she'd lied to fellow students about finding men attractive, just to make herself feel like less of an outcast, but it was never the truth.
So, she decided relationships simply weren't for her, neither romantic nor friendly. The concepts of love and companionship were brushed aside and replaced with experiments and work, though she could never quite bury the yearning for friendship.
And then she met Pantalone.
Gradually, thanks to his presence, the hunger for friendship was satiated - yet something else took its place. A hunger Dottore couldn't quite name, a hunger she'd never felt before. It confused her, made no sense to her. Surely now she had friendship, there was nothing left to yearn for?
The years passed, one by one, and they worked closer and closer together, until Pantalone's smile made her feel shy, until his warm chuckle made her blush.
And suddenly things made a little bit more sense:
She could never imagine herself settling down with a man.
She could certainly imagine a future with a woman.
She was yearning for that future to be with Pantalone.
Pantalone, on the other hand, thought a lot about relationships; as a means to an end, an escape from poverty. All he had to do was find a rich man and somehow make him fall in love - Pantalone's own feelings didn't matter, couldn't matter, as long as he had money.
But that never happened.
Being mere moments away from being dissected by Dottore, being examined by such a gorgeous woman... was not a wonderful way to discover his attraction to women, so he (understandably) assumed the butterflies in his stomach were just fear, and somehow talked his way out of the situation.
And as he carved his path up through the hierarchy of the Fatui, as his wealth grew, he found himself utterly despising the men attempting to seduce him. Horrible men with no charm, who would rob him of his independence if they were given the slightest chance.
Well, they were nothing like the beautiful doctor who had become a dear friend to Pantalone, the doctor whose introverted attitude covered up charisma and charm... the woman who made Pantalone feel something none of those flirtatious men could make him feel.
Perhaps his feelings did matter more than profit, more than money.
Dottolone/Panttore fans! I want to know your gender headcanons for Dottore and Pantalone! Feel free to comment them, reblog and tell me all about them, or send them as an Ask! I'd love to hear all about them!
I'll offer mine: I headcanon Zandik as a genderqueer butch who uses she/he/it pronouns, and Pantalone as a nonbinary femme who uses he/they pronouns! Zandik always dresses in masculine clothes, but occasionally dabbles in drag (with a bit of help from Pantalone, he provides a lot of the clothes and make-up for Zandik to use). Pantalone binds his chest and dresses quite femininely, always aiming for an appearance somewhere between androgynous and feminine.
Pantalone always lingering around the lab when Dottore's not working on urgent or dangerous projects... Sentences trailing off unfinished every time he sees Dottore roll up his sleeves and expose those muscular arms, small talk made just to hear his voice... Utterly in love with Dottore, even if the Doctor is oblivious to it at first (a little piece of "Dottore is insecure and assumes his crush on Pantalone is one-sided", anyone?)
Eventually it evolves into clingy hugs every time Pantalone steps into Dottore's lab, quick kisses between projects or paperwork... Always finding time in their busy schedules for each other.
she/her butch dottore letting he/him femme pantalone apply makeup on her face. just an attempt, did that ever hurt anyone? pantalone getting closer to dottore’s face with his soft, gentle fingers on her cheek. so close, dottore can even feel her girlfriend’s breath on her face…
okayyy okau
OHH I LOVE THIS... Well, there's no need for Pantalone to apply any blush to Dottore, she'll have plenty of it by the time Pantalone's done <3
Butch Dottore (she/her) x Femme Pantalone (he/him)
Pantalone wears the most beautiful dresses to important occasions; Fatui banquets, balls, etc. Dottore, on the other hand, wears her finest suits, occasionally with a monocle and top hat, almost perfectly blending in with the wealthiest gentlemen in the world... except for her clothes being notably higher quality, since Pantalone buys them for her. He adores pampering Dottore with the finest garments and accessories, finding joy in showering his lover with gifts, watching her be just as surprised and flustered every time.
There's always gossip and rumours about them, displeased murmurs from flirtatious (and promptly scared away) men about Dottore being Pantalone's equivalent of a guard dog... and Pantalone finds delight in their displeasure. What a handsome guard dog he has! How lucky he is to have such a loyal companion! And though Dottore tells him to ignore their comments, she takes pride in being a protective figure for her partner, standing with confidence by her lover's side, both of them dancing together at balls with a blend of power and intimacy; a silent yet public declaration of the strength of their love.
I think Dottore's always had issues with hurting himself, but he's always been good at hiding it; he's covered up in his lab, and outside of his lab the cold forces him to remain covered up. Nobody can see the scars on his body, and anything they did see could be dismissed as a lab accident.
Except for when Pantalone found him. Shaking, crying, bleeding. Dottore was trying to 'punish' himself after an argument with Pantalone, and in his haste, he'd forgotten to lock the door. Either way, he hadn't expected Pantalone to come and apologise. And he hadn't expected to see such fear and sorrow in his eyes.
Patching up Dottore, kissing his face lightly and reassuring him everything will be okay... yet the fear never left Pantalone's eyes. The fear of losing Dottore. Full of guilt and sorrow, Dottore never wanted to put Pantalone through that again. He didn't stop suddenly, it was a slow and difficult recovery, but Pantalone never left his side, always supporting him - and Dottore showed Pantalone the same support when he began to work on his own self-destructive habits.
