tossing a WIP onto here because it might be a while until it gets finished, and i like how it looks so far

#dynadoodles #the council speaks #based on an experience i had about april-may of last year when i first got my wheelchair #we'd gone shopping for clothes because i didn't have anything nice that fit that wouldn't snag in the wheels #and i caught a glimpse in one of the mirrors they had on one of the supports #i remember staring at my reflection and thinking to myself at the time '...wow. i never thought i'd get this far.'#sometimes i still think of that fourteen-year-old kid i used to be who never thought he'd make it to adulthood.#i would love nothing more than to hold him and tell him that it'll pass. that things'll get better in his personal life #and to tell him just how proud i am of him for making through it all.#🦊#also there's gonna be like 3 versions of this piece when it's done. the mirror version #the meet the artist version #and the other one that's not going on this blog /silly

okay now that we've posted the (very late) trick or treat pieces, here's some stuff we've drawn in the last while we haven't posted here! we were mostly testing around with new brushes (namely the spraypaint brushes we got... very fun to play around with. second image was a spraypaint silhouette test that we liked too much and turned into a lineless draft for an oc. colors aren't final)

not an official oc hour but thinking abt dawn again. putting it under a read more so my partymates don’t see it by accident on their dashboards.

something something home was a person and now he’s long dead and while your peers cheer and celebrate the death of their tormentors you’re left to sit alone and grieve. the system was built to keep you down yes but he and his were uninvolved in that and you cannot bring the innocents that were killed back. it’s been so long you cannot remember his face or voice on habit anymore, videos and pictures are all you have left, and while your friends try to comfort you most of them too did not grieve for the innocents that died for your freedom. you leave the flowers, the building you’ve lived in for centuries, aimless and tired and wanting somewhere to feel you belong, and you leave behind all you had left to achieve this. you’re tired of feeling like a ghost, like haunted machinery that still whirrs and whines for a home it can never get back.

the world lore is kept mostly the same I Think (spark even still exists) but i swapped pcs, and ill write more about this new pc later. in the meantime, meet Fleeting Dawn, a bot who’s trying to figure out what to do with her life!

OC Hour: Spark

I said I would do this a few days ago and I forgot to, oops. Anyway! Dancing Sparks, almost always shortened to Spark for simplicity's sake, was heavily inspired by Rain World's iterators (some of whom may end up with an OC Hour eventually), but isn't actually one herself. She's a Warforged PC for a DND campaign I'm in!

In terms of backstory, she is a very old machine, with her being exactly 1,000 years and two days old as of the time I'm writing this post. Her existence, for the most part, has been in the wastelands between major cities in the campaign, fighting for survival. The one she was built for was destroyed just over two hundreds years into her life, and she's been wandering ever since.

One of the more notable things about her is generally just how unforgiving she is. In the wastes she's used to, granting mercy to others was how to have people come get their revenge against you, and she is very against leaving problems alone to come back worse.
