Hello everyone my name is Emon. I am a student who is currently studying Media Studies and Journalism. My major concentration is Public Relation. Also I am working as the Digital Story in-charge in Ulab Tv and as the video content manager in DIMFF, which is an international outreach program. Moreover, I like to do voluntary humanitarian work as well. Me and some of my friends from school opened a humanitarian organization named “Aloron''. I am working as the human resource secretary there. In my leisure time I like to read books and watch series. I used to read books before but this pandemic I have seen some very good series. I am very excited to share my views with you about it.

“Narcos”

People always love to watch something exciting in order to spend their time. When we watch some drama which highlights the past history, it feels so nostalgic. Because we couldn’t experience it live but we can experience from that drama . I have watched some series.’Narcos’ is one of the best series I have ever seen. I want to share my experience watching it.

First of all it was worth watching this. This series highlighted the famous drug lord of Colombia,Pablo Escobar.He was the head of the medellin cartel. Narcos tells the true-life story of the growth and spread of cocaine drug cartels across the globe. Pablo Escober was one of the powerful drug lord in the history. His dream was to be the Columbian president. But he couldn’t  be that. Once he was elected to be a parliament member. When he attended the first day at parliament, other members insulted him and Pablo left the parliament, Soon he killed every person who was involved with it. Pablo was that kind of a person. He was the first man to built his own jail in the history. Pablo was one of the richest man in the world that time. People in Columbia specially medellin used to accept Pablo as their God.He sold cocaine to all over the world specially Las Vegas. 

Everything was going well. But Pablo did some terrorist act on civilians for taking revenge from the Government. That disappointed the civilians. They started protesting against pablo. Then Pablo Escober made a consignment with the Government. Then he built his own Luxurious jail with a football field, swimming pool, luxurious mansion worth 2million dollars. 

Soon after that he planned to run from there. After that He left the rest of the family. He sent his family to Germany but unfortunately they couldn’t enter there due to Pablo's record. Meanwhile, the government took a hard step to finish Pablo’s full gang. Government was successful in doing this but Pablo was hidden. He hid himself. Then somehow Police made their way to find Pablo and they killed him on that spot. That day, people of Columbia celebrated a lot. Pablo was born poor, lived his life like a king and died like a helpless human.

“Pose”

POSE is an American Television Show created by Yan Murphy,Brad Falchuk and Steven Canals that revolves around the evolution of ball culture and the rise of the Trump-era. Initial story centrals a character named Blanca, who starts her own house and turns mother to a gifted dancer and a sex worker. 

The story deals with an emotional point of AIDS and other day to day hassling in a trans woman's life. Social issues and taboo culture is vastly explored by the makers. The producers came up with a strong trans cast of Mj Rodriguez, Indya Moore, Dominique Jackson and many others. The American actor, singer and style icon Billy Porter also played a crucial role in the series. This series is an portal to the unrecognized side of the LGBTQ stands. The voice of the series was very clear and rather honestly served the purpose in my opinion. POSE won many awards and got an 8.6 imdb rating. Billy porter was nominated in the category of best actors in the Primetime Emmy for POSE. Such contents are often not very popular among the masses of our sub continent but POSE is surely worth giving a shot.

“Sherlock Holmes”

I always liked to read some fictional books, detective story books, travel diaries. It helps me to spend my free time. I have completed reading many books. Sherlock is one of them. It was one of the best novels I have ever read. 

Once I heard from my friend that there is a famous television series based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes detective story. I was very curious to watch this. After watching the full series, I felt that this series was amazing. The casting, directionand overview was amazing from my point of view.On that series Sherlock was the main character played by Benedict Cumberbatch. He played his role very professionally. Sherlock was very clever, very stunning and very sharp minded human being who loved to solve some mysterious criminal cases. When police failed to solve any problem, they used to call for sherlock to solve that case. Sherlock loved to solve this type of cases. He found his room partner named john watson who was army retired doctor. He used to help him on Sherlock's cases. By staying together and solving those types of cases , they became good friends. Sherlock had many bigger enemies who wanted to kill Sherlock but as Sherlock was very clever, those enemies couldn’t reach out to Sherlock so easily. In that series,Jim Moriaty was Sherlock's one of the biggest enemies. Sherlock tried his best to find him and somehow killed him. Before dying , Moriarty shared the news to Sherlock that there is a bigger villain than Moriarty himself. Sherlock was shocked. Then he was trapped by another enemy. He got his support from his bigger brother Mycroft Holmes. He gave his best to find out his biggest enemy who wanted to destroy him. After their huge efforts they eventually found that the biggest villain of Sherlock was his own sister. 

Sherlock was amazed. That's how he solves his final problem. This series gave me so good vibe. Sherlock’s acting was looking so much realistic. Besides that this series got fame just for the making. I must say that i have watched one of the greatest English TV series ever .

“The Family”

Talking about the world of television and web series, India produced some of the finest series in recent years. The Family Man is one of the finest works by the Indian industry. One of the finest writer-director-producer duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K with previous works like shor in the city, a gentleman and many more came up with an action thriller series named The Family Man. 

Initial story revolves around a character named Srikanth Tiwari who is a world class spy working for the NIA and how this character balances between the family responsibilities and his responsibility towards the country. With an amazing cast consisting of actors like Manoj Bajpayai, priyamani, sunny hinduja and many more, rather than portraying an all and all fantasy fiction spy drama, 

The Family Man portrayed a more realistic take on a Indian spy's life. The show gives us a view of how a spy has to lead two different lives and the balance that person has to go through. When most of the spy thrillers prefer to not give the main character too many weaknesses, this show is basically portraying that a spy is also a normal human being with humanitarian ties and expectations to live upto. With the bizarrely witty yet extremely realistic filmmaking art of Raj and D.k, The Family Man is a treat to watch. Nizam Bozman and Azim moollan did an amazing job with the camera. Mostly second seasons of the series are not well received by both the critics and audience but an exception was seen after the release of the second season of this franchise last week where the work has already got a great mouth to mouth recognition in the circles. 

Personally I liked the first season but the second installment was an absolute blast and the story line seems to fully justify my expectations. The makers gave enough hints of a third installment to the franchise but nothing is yet confirmed by them. Let's hope for the best and definitely such series are much awaited for the audience.

“The Office”

The Office is an American television sitcom that follows the daily lives of office workers at the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. It aired in the Tv from 2005 to 2013. 

Generally in sitcoms we hear laughter from the audience in the character’s different kinds of jokes. But in “The Office” it is different. Michel, the boss who is played by Steve Carell, says a lot of inappropriate jokes that are definitely gonna make everyone laugh. Most of the time his joke timing is bad and he makes racial, sexist and cliché jokes. His office employees are well aware of the fact so sometimes they go along with it and sometimes they don’t. But Michel keeps on going. 

There is one employee who works really hard and always does the most sales in the office, Dwight K Shrude. He is very serious and strict which makes it hard for others to take him seriously. His fellow salesman is Jim Harper, played by John Krasinski. Jim Harper and the receptionist Pam always put on a prank on Dwight when he gets on their nerves. Dwight K Shrude believes a lot in fictional things and characters. Which makes it easy for Pam and Jim to pull a prank on him. There are other characters like

Everyone has their own unique traits which puts them differently. And through this small group of people the series portrays how some people can be happy being in a small place.
