“Mm.. I suppose,” Astra agreed. Work was something that she needed. Without something to do or some cause to guide her, Astra felt incredibly lost. “But yes, I do have things besides my uniform. I’m not entirely without clothing. I just.. prefer it.” Her uniform was something of comfort as much a practicality. “I would like to go though.” 

Alex smiled again, a more full smile. She nodded her head. “Good, cause you can’t wear your uniform to the zoo tomorrow that would cause a lot of attention that we do not want.” She looked to the time and sighed. “Talking about tomorrow we should sleep. You can crash on my couch if you like. It might be more comfy than where you are at. I got some kara touch approved blankets.” She stood up.

I wonder how faithful Supergirl will be with Maggie Sawyer’s story. I don’t know if you guys know about it, but in comics Maggie has a daughter named Jamie, I would love for Supergirl to explore her past more and maybe even bring Jamie to the show.

Are you OK? - Alex and Kara

There was no one in the universe that Kara loved more than Alex—not even Kal—and it broke her heart to see her sister like this. She could see she’d been crying, and her voice was so small when she said she was sorry. Kara wasn’t even sure a human could’ve heard the words.

She settled at the middle of the sofa, not seeing any reason whatsoever not to be close to Alex. Her nose wrinkled from the smell of the booze in the glass, but if anyone had a good reason to get a little drunk, it was her sister. “It’s OK. There’s no way to prepare for something like this—there isn’t.”

But she was hurt. She knew Jeremiah was Alex’s father, but she’d chosen her sister over blood when Astra was on the warpath. She felt awful that she’d not been number one on the list, but she understood. And she wasn’t about to give Alex grief about her decision. She was beating herself up enough for them both—hell for the entire DEO. “I just wanted to tell you that I love you. You’re my family.”

Alex finally lets herself glance at her sister. To look at that face, and she still felt horrible for the expression that had crossed it earlier that day. It was hard to believe that it had only been a day. She swallowed and nodded.

A hand reached out on its own accord. Before Alex could think if it was the best thing to do or not. Alex needed to touch her sister. She needed to confirm to her tired and slightly tipsy brain that Kara was here. That she was not mad at her. 

“You are my family. Kara. I.. I hope you didn’t think for a second that wasn’t true.” She bites her lip and let her eyes travel over her sister. Taking her all in to make sure she was ok in a standard scan she did all of the time.

Lena smiled like an idiot and tilted her head to the side, looking at Kara with her eyes shining as they never did before. “If this is what friends are for then I hope it continues this way,” Lena joked and left a kiss on her nose because Kara was just too adorable.

Kara blushed at that but got an adorable dorky smile on her face at the kiss on her nose. Her hands tightened around Lena’s waist to pull her closer. A little stronger then she should probably hold but not enough to bruise. she just wanted her close, all these awesome butterfly feelings to stay put. “Me, too. Maybe... Maybe we could go on a date?”
