Focusing on mental health for me means focusing on friends, family; and myself. I love the idea that you could have friends for the rest of your days who will provide you with unending support and love. Every year, I go through a really difficult phase. It’s not like one year was harder or easier than the last because I can remember going through some thick shit every year. I’m getting better each day how to ask for help, be willing to be vulnerable, and remember that this too shall pass. These past few weeks have been ones to remember for sure.

There is never a guarantee what my mental health would be like. It is not something I can foresee and it really affects my capability to invest in myself and my surroundings. I want to be able to thrive but the only way I can do that is to follow up on the things I care about.
