I like the darkness.

There's something to the feeling of not knowing your surroundings, not seeing the color of things as they appear, but as they truly are.There's something about the unknown, the quiet, the cold. There's something unspoken about the dark, something I can never quite put words to. Something terrifying yet beautiful.

I like the darkness with you.

The emotions leak from behind our carefully manicured walls. They spill into the open without fear of judgment. The unknown of the dark making talking fill so much more space. When the words are all there is, every space in my mind if full of you; your thoughts, your secrets. My secrets aren’t so scary when I let them sit in the dark with you. Your secrets are like treasures, to be plucked out of the darkness and placed behind my walls to protect and nurture. The darkness is safe with you.
