We're refreshing our inaugural window display this week. We liked keeping these specific books in the window as we love them, and feel like these best represent our store's ethos and what we're all about. We've got a super nice product in our Hackney Rd shop (online soon): 'Tatouage' is a set a of 108 temporary tattoos all inspired by the animal kingdom. There's also 21 mini art prints inside - all the illustrations are by our fave @lucille_clerc! We're sooo gonna get a Murloc tattoo 🦎 (at Eastern Biological)

It's Mother's Day this Sunday 26th. We have plenty of gifting ideas in store - and brand new in store are three more scents from @eastwickshop. Deano the green iguana and some of our talented illustrators at our charity event last week in collaboration with @wildlifedrawing, raising money for the @galapagosconservationtrust. For those wanting to learn more about these workshops with real life animals (and for loyal fans alike) Wildlife Drawing have been featured over a double page spread in today’s Sunday Telegraph supplement! Get your paws on it 🐾🐾

Nava animal shaped soaps from Thai brand Nava Workshop are new in store and online now. Each soap is naturally moisturising, handcrafted using organic ingredients and free from mineral oils and all that nasty chemical stuff. Beautifully minimal - they're available in six different animals and scents: mango, jasmine and lemongrass.

Young chipmunks live underground, while kangaroo joeys need a pouch, and crocodile hatchlings hide in their mother's mouths. And so baby animals are safe and sound with their grown-ups close around…. A new picture book from @flyingeyebooks is in our Hackney Rd shop now and online soon. Safe & Sound illustrated by Loris Lora introduces children to a whole host of baby animals and their homes. There’s simple rhyming text by Jean Roussen, which go beautifully next to these brilliant illustrations. We're open till 7pm today and 5pm on Sundays 🐆🐊🦏 (at Eastern Biological)

Eleanor Taylor's original drawing of Dandelion the African tortoise, at our @wildlifedrawing fundraising event for the @galapagosconservationtrust. 'Snakes Alive' a reptile sanctuary based in Essex provided the animals to draw on the night. The vast majority of the animals they care for are rescued/unwanted pets. African Tortoise illustrated by @charlottetrounce at our special Galápagos Wildlife Drawing charity event. Last night we hosted a special charity event with our friends @wildlifedrawing. We invited illustrators to draw an iguana, gecko, tortoise, snake as these are all cousins of the animals that reside on the Galápagos Islands. All the original drawings created will be sold exclusively through our store on Hackney Road in the next couple of weeks. 100% of the sales will go directly to the @galapagosconservationtrust which supports conservation efforts with this living laboratory and generally raising awareness of this natural wonder. A real honour the charity were in-house as well to say a few words. Check out graphic novelist @isabel_greenberg when she isn't drawing fantastical beings and romans; she's pretty good with lizards too! 🦎

We're feeling incredibly honoured to be hosting our first event downstairs in collaboration with @wildlifedrawing. Tonight we welcome some of our favourite illustrators to draw Galapagos-themed (real life) animals in our shop. Original drawings will be produced tonight and sold via our shop to charity: the @galapagosconservationtrust. Very excited to be hosting our first event tonight here in our shop's Blue Zone. All to be revealed in the next post. A small shout out to our friends @owl_and_dog_playbooks who created 'Fish' in the top right corner of this image; the pack contains eight colourful sheets that you can fold to make different species of fish - all come with facts so kids can learn something along the way! They make unique, unusual products that reimagine the way stories are told - expect lots of interesting products from these guys in years to come! (at Eastern Biological)
