A quick .GIF of our 3D model.
Another logo option, this one was made from scratch by Blake on Photoshop. It was his second time using PS.
3D Model
On Saturday the 3D model Blake was printing, finished. Once it was done, the printer kept printing and when we looked at it, it looked like the printer exploded plastic everywhere! It was kind of cool looking but wasteful at the same time. The model printed correctly though, but broke in a couple spots. So I glued it together and now it looks pretty good!
A survey was created last week to get statistics for our product. Although it seemed hard at first, getting 100 people to take the survey was a piece of cake! The results we got supported our product a lot. They helped to show that our product would be successful in the market! The following images are a few of the questions that were on the survey.
This is an image that Chelsea created on Illustrator that shows how the product works. Some people can understand things better by seeing a picture rather than having something explained to them which is where this picture definitely will come in handy! We plan on printing this out on a large piece of thicker paper to go along with our display.
This is an infographic that Chelsea made that will help people to see that our product will actually be successful, and that it is a needed product in our country. Since our country alone uses more energy than the entire continent of Europe, the need for alternative ways of energy is very important. We also conducted a survey that shows results such as "2 out of 3 people would pay extra money to buy something to preserve energy in their household". This shows that our product would be successful if it was ever sold in the market. The statistic "82% ofpeople would b uy a chandelier for their own home" also helps to prove that.
This is the logo that Chelsea created for EcEnergy. The lightbulb is there to symbolize that our product helps to save energy!
We're currently working on our business plan, launch plan, and our 3D model. We are also working on creating images to help display our product! We are working on creating a logo, an infographic, and an image that explains what exactly the product does.
We are now working on making a 3D model of our chandelier! Using mirrors, our chandelier will take natural light and reflect i throughout the room which will help save light energy. The 3D model shows the angles that the mirrors need to be in so that the natural light can be reflected as much as possible!
Prototype Feedback
We went out to receive around round of feedback on our chandelier prototype idea, and the answers were quite surprising. We interviewed the assistant store manager and when we pitched the idea to him, he shot it down in flames. He said that because we were depending so heavily on natural light that the idea would not work. However, he did say that if we perhaps added solar panels onto the chandelier, light sensors so the solar panel knows when to gather light energy, and LED light bulbs.
The fate of the living planet is the most important issue facing mankind.

“Here is your country. Cherish these natural wonders, cherish the natural resources, cherish the history and romance as a sacred heritage, for your children and your children's children.
