Canon Speculation/Heartbreaking Moment: Ashes to Ash To Echo

I wouldn’t be surprised if Ash was not Echo’s given name as well. It’s a frequent brainwashing practice to give a recruit a new name - and renaming the girl with a constant reminder of how she was taken from her parents unfortunately fits in too well with Nia’s harsh and relentless character.
