hello everyone! iβm heather and this is my chaotic child, edward! iβm still not sure if iβm gonna join the discord, but please feel free to shot me a message so we can plot!!!
name, station, & age: edward carew, twenty three. son of the governor of new york. his family comes from english nobility.
opinion on territorial independence: there is something brewing in new york, talks of independence and revolution. young, bright eyed man and women that are willing to spill blood if thatβs what it takes. edward is one of these people, with too much idealism and courage in his chest. he believes this country, his country, should be free. whatever it may cost.
appearance: pale, freckled complexion with dark locks and blue eyes. he is quite tall and slender, which mostly makes him look awkward.
deepest fear: the costs of a war that he is sure will happen
edward was the first carew to be born in america. he was brought up in luxury, growing up in a big manor right in the heart of new york. but even from childhood, edward was known to run away from his tutors, playing with the street kids and sons of merchants. the streets of the town became his second home, running in them as the sun shone high. that is not to say edward didnβt take his education seriously. he was fluent in many languages, and better at math than any mischievous 10 year old had a right to be. his father was adamant that he should study politics and law, and the boy had no choice but to agree.
it was not hard to find edward amongst revolutionary circles, trading ideas with scholars and other idealistic young people. his father pretended to be none the wiser, but edwards was sure he knew about it. his mother, on the other hand, is always trying to set him straight, taking any revolutionary ideas out of his head. her family also came from english nobility, and she would be happy answering the king and queen for her whole life. it was often the cause of cold reproaches and angry screaming in the carew household.
for now, edward seems to be in and endless grand tour. he is traveling as often as he is at home, trading revolutionary ideals from france to new york, and spending a month or two in italy when the winter starts to bore him. he aches for something more, something real. but for now, he settles himself in doing charity work in his hometown, and waiting for the change that seems to be looming over them all.
