At Sunday’s Accelerator session for Wearable Teach, we heard from a few very interesting startups, ranging from custom-fit shoes to shoes that produce charge for your devices. Here’s a breakdown of 2 of them, both conveniently focused on your feet. Coincidence?

Feetz – the digital cobbler

Insight: I’m a size “me”

Approach: custom-made shoes using 3D printing

Benefit: shoes that fit, less manufacturing waste

Chris Kerns, author of the newly-published Trendology: Capitilizing on RTM with Social Data found that generally, brands that respond to current events in a conversation-focused manner (rather than a “hey, look at my product” manner) see dramatically increased rates of engagement.
